I always told myself that if playing this game ever became more than having fun, relaxing, and clearing my mind, I would stop playing.

Well, after tonight, that time may he here.

The following is my fault; but I'm staying it to set an example.

In the last 6 hours or grinding I've played a handful of BR games and have attempted the Extreme Showdown, for TA 3, a total of 10 times.

All 10 times I couldn't get past Hyper Glavin.

In thst time period I've accrued 19k in XP and a total of 0% towards ANY division in the TA 3.

Thats beyond pathetic. Part is my fault. But part is also SDS's fault.

Normally I wouldn't touch Showdown, especially an Extreme one, but 20K for each division was to good to pass up.

So instead of playing a Conquest Map that give points towards 2 divisions each, without having to exchange vouchers, I played a mide that felt like WORK.

As I said; I play to relax. Not to 'work'.

They used to say; "play your way". Not its "play our way".

Nerfing of XP and stubs, putting better cards in packs, charging for those packs, the lack of playable programs, messing with TN and MA programs, releasing better cards, in packs, than what's in the XP Path that we had to wait to unlock and are now useless, loosing people's accounts, etc has become to much to tolerate.

Add on that I'll be going back in for another surgery, and will probably be in rehab for another 2 mos, on the 29th if this month means that for me to unlock all if the TA 99s, along with the XP Path 99s, so I have time to use them, means that I have to do so in less than 2 weeks.

    That's work. Not having fun.

I'll still hang around the board, as much as I can, and I'm still going to play a little until I either go into the hospital or find someone to buy my PS5.

Now I j own I'll get a few 'see ya next year's, or even some 'whatever's. Which is understandable. But I'm going to go out on a line and say that I bet I get a few that would do/say the same thing.

I tied up the game against kerry wood and lost with a runner on third, after a perfect ground out lol.

I feel your frustration though. This TA drop is really bad. Basically forcing us to play online, where every other event game is a home run derby against some cracked out kid who should be playing on legend lol.

You’re right, it has become basically a job. 2 more weeks of grinding TA, BR, events and ranked and only then will I be able to maybe unlock Willie mays, the only collection card I really care about. Then I’ll have to play the game as much as possible over the next two weeks if I want to enjoy the fruits of my labor before the reset.

Also I’ve already done the whole TA grind twice. There should be some sort of collection to give TA points for just collecting all of TA1 and TA2. Especially if they’re going to make me do TA 6 more times after this.

They should honestly consider extending season 1. I play this game way too much and I’m not sure even I can justify continuing to play this game after all these cards become useless.

No ‘see ya’ from me. Im fully in the same camp. I will probably force myself to play some the rest of the year, to justify having the ps5, but ill just be playing for certain cards, not completing things. Example: the only 2 cards in TA3 i want are Brian Roberts and Edgar Martinez. Im heavily leaning toward this being the last year. Bummer, but its more frustrating than fun very often.

A collection for TA points would be welcomed and could have gone a long to to alleviating much of the frustration in this drop IMO

I won't say that I am fully walking away yet, but I didn't even feel compelled to play yesterday if that gives you any idea about how I feel about the content drop.

I am not one who tries to complete all the team affinities. I really only want to get the one from my favorite team. That card was Ryan Ludwick. While not a bad card in itself it is not very exciting for Cardinals fans.

Okay, so there is a 99 Ryan Helsley in the Season Awards Drop. Maybe I will play for him. Oh, I can't because he is the rare round in the pack and would currently cost about half my available stubs to purchase. I'll wait for a bit.

Oh, there is a 95 Tommy Edman in the game I will grind for that. Oh, it's a BR reward? As someone who got no hit in his only BR game of the year I wonder how many 1500 stub entries I would have to pay to grind for him? The answer? Too many. Probably just easier to wait for his price to drop and buy him.

The Cardinals have 7 cards at 90 or above. Only the two most recent team affinity cards are actually earnable through offline play.

I'll play when I just feel like playing some baseball but the content so far has done nothing to keep me engaged in the game.
