So SDS just proved they don't listen.....

@NiteLordz that's the only way stadium creator will get any updates is if it's DD related unfortunately.

Have you put the new stands together yet? The base level doesn't go up again the first / third base lines
It has the dugout with the entire way down unless you use the stands that wrap around, they go up against the wall
I'm alright with this for one reason, I can use the bleacher style seats to almost make some club seating.

They know all of this; they don’t have the resources to address it and it’s not a big needle mover.
If they still use the 4 year cycles they used to, it’ll be addressed next year; maybe.

I'd usually agree, but this is a super simple thing. Take the "batting cage" prop...remove the netting and the machine so it's just the base turf, and add a little mound. Done. Then of course you have to add the players bench, and then remove it from the field...but it won't take as much resources as people think.
Other thing I've long suggested was use...Statesman Field? as your base template, with the pens down straightaway left and right field. They're making it way more complicated than it needs to be

Just because something seems easy to us outsiders does not always mean it is.
Maybe it is, maybe it isn't.
-
Yeah, I have super easy stuff to do at work but these cases are always the first ones pushed back because of priorities; I assume it’s the same situation here.
-
It's not a money maker, so not much incentive. We all know this.
That said, if they made it a micro transaction, could be something to talk about.
Pay X amount for flags for example
The problem with that is, once I upload it, then someone else can download it, without paying, and use them.

That’s a rather presumptuous thought, don’t you think? We have no idea how simple or difficult this is.
-
@JDHalfrack My roommates code and develope games for a living and while they don't play the show, they've said the stuff we want fixed, based on what already exists, would be very simple fixes and add ons. One of them also said though, that to get the bullpens off the field and make it so we could build functional ones would more than likely take starting from the ground up. But adding wall props like ads and numbers, fixing the sensitivity of prop collision, etc. really wouldn't take much. I think it comes down to money honestly but I'll happily pay for dlc props packs personally if they have good content in them. I just want more props and wall pieces that fall under the realistic category.
-
@Dolenz64 It's every bit this simple, and that comes from speaking with people who used to work for SDS who quit because they became disgusted with how the company was ignoring the customers on Stadium Creator's future developments.
Every one of these simple requests can be rendered in one tenth the time it took to put this Future City set together.

@Suel21
I'm very curious as to what they think the timeframe would be to change the base template of the stadium. Instead of the jewel box design, it's just the barebones(Dugouts and bullpens) of say...Statesman Park? or Wagonman, Shippet, Crystal Falls etc. Any one of those would work as a template
-
@Sarge1387 I love the Center City Field. Would love to add outfield stands, and the like.
-
I wonder what it would take to get modders in on this...Bethesda allowed it with FO and it made the game better. WWE and 2K did it with that guy who was creating wrestlers for it...wonder if the SDS would be open to that to allow us more freedom creatively
-
I would love for templates that have different foul territories, even with the first level of stands in them as long as they're good quality. Otherwise give me smaller sections and more realistic props and I can deal with it
-
@Suel21
I would 100% be down for that if they don't want to give us control over the foul territory itself, just give us the already existing in game minor league templates, and least for the field dimensions and bullpens
-
As much as I want to believe change will happen on Stadium creater, I doubt it. The uniform maker hasn't changed at all. I remember when that came out, people were asking for the ability to add logos and patches to the sleeves. It has never happened. And how how long have we e been able to do that? As far back as 19 I believe, even before that if I'm not mistakened. 6 years at the least, and no changes. Same way it's going to be for CAS.
Only way we'll see improvements, is if this game gets ported to PC, but even then SDS would probably ban accounts that mod the set boring template of CAS.

Well, SDS did finally fix their misaligned field level stand props in Future City in Update #9.
-
@PriorFir4383355
*Some of them. There's still one that reds out. I also want to know why they can't get the seating props behind home plate to line up ever.
-
I redid my Future City Stadium template and reuploaded it to the vault. In redoing it with the post Update #9 changes, I was able to use the second set of straight field level props to nudge the field level stands quite close to the baseline and outfield walls, and have them snap to the preceding props.
Also, while this field level stand prop #1 in this Future City set does not perfectly fit the backstop wall, it does come closer than does the Modern field level prop #1.
Honestly, I would have preferred to see the fancy lights and colors be omitted and just use the stand props to replace the Modern ones.
-
Sadly, there is a quite serious and overall ugly result from this latest update. SDS changed the code for the entire series of Future City stand props such that at night the stands turn a pure white color. The only variance are the seats themselves that will carry on with whatever color was assigned to them, as well as the colors of the fans sitting in those seats.
There is no other way to describe this except to call it professional incompetence. That's harsh, but sadly deserved. SDS is either failing to conduct alpha testing of their updates prior to releasing them to the paying customers, or their alpha team is incompetent.
Either cause is a very ugly look for SDS.
