I havent played in a week, this game is a soulless cash grab with absolutely nothing to get excited about. Who the hell wants to log in tomorrow to grind for some cards that expire in literally a month? Not to mention all these cards are the same players we've been grinding for for years now.
This content model is so goddamn stupid, they ignored all community feedback and sold out. Now they have a dying franchise. Idiots.
The seasons model certainly does seem self-defeating. And this year's game is indeed way more of a cash-grab than any previous iteration.
I hardly play anymore....

Do you guys think Ross and Rachel stayed together on Friends?
@arvcpa let’s see if I get banned this time :).
This is a subject that needs WAY more discussion.
-
can't wait to see the complaints in less than a week about people not having anything to do as they burn through 2 weeks worth of content in 4 days lol
-
@aaronjw76 "What's the Cheapest way to do exchanges so I can do these TA's as fast as possible?" "Sick of the Grind...Can't I just play my way?" LOL
-
@aaronjw76 SDS needs to learn how to spread the content out thru 2 weeks instead of dumping it all out in 1 day. Of course folks (not me) are going to try and finish stuff fast as they can. Its just what they do. And it's a double XP weekend lol
-
And considering they only have small amount of time until s2 comes out im sure they want to use those 99s before they are worthless

You know, pacing content so that it all doesn't come out on ONE DAY can actually be part of SDS's content strategy. That's been terrible this year.
-
The "casuals" who can't stand online play, I get it. Events and BR are no fun at all for them because EVERY player gets thrown into the allstar arena where they will come across the really good to great players more often than not. They get pummeled and get discouraged. There are not enough below average to above average players in these modes for them to be equally matched up with. It's just not right that the goons in this game get to matchmake consistently against the less skilled because the game is setup this way. People always say "just wait a week or two when the new modes come out to allow the good to great players get theirs first" nonsense. That's BS.

@chucky97___
It's not dead yet, but it will probably die quicker this year than usual, due to a couple of reasons:-
Folks are going to be disappointed when they have to drop their 99's for 89's again come next month (and the four WC's will probably take to long to earn). A lot of the Community will not want to "start over" again, and again.
-
CFB '25 in July, will capitalize on that disappointment and take even more of the base.
Doing a power creep is fine, but it does not work well with "Seasons". Hopefully next year, they will go back to their "Innings" content structure, which worked well for many years, with their power creep.
-
-
Power creep was WAY too accelerated.
And you can't recreate launch day again.
Fail.
-
I could have sworn they said the new season will start with higher stats than the previous seasons.
-
@Loyal-Wiglaf
True... But it was "WAY too accelerated" because of their Seasons format.... This is another reason why they should return to their "Innings" format. -

Exactly. And the same sds boot lickers just nod and like each others posts like its some great strategy they are doing when its not. Go ahead read the complaints, LOL it up, and see the dead game Sds created come mid July it will be real fkin funny then d1ckbrains.
-
@MycoSynth-Valde-
Possibly, but that would only make a miniscule difference... Going from 99's to 87's or 89's or 93's, etc. is not going to be well liked, regardless.They need to dump Seasons, and I am sure they could still find ways to increase revenue with their Innings format.
-
@xElRojo44x i wish they'd dump seasons/sets man that would make my day. Would almost make everything else they have screwed up to this point a pass

You know, people exhibiting some self control so they self pace instead of whining in 4 days when they completed two weeks or progress in 4 days.
I'm not saying SDS can't add another actual program during the weeks there is almost nothing else (season awards is does not count) but the biggest problem are the people who gobble their food down faster than a fat kid eating an ice cream then complain there is no food.

I’m a casual. I can’t win against online opponents at this point and the reward paths all require wins or stubs (BR) with time to get a sniff at something. So I don’t play. I’ve run into too many toxic players and I quickly grew tired of the matchmaking pairing me with players way above my ability level.

Waiting until late September or October to finally get 99s of your favorite player as Finest Cards was a really, really long haul.
-
@Dolenz
You can always find someone that is complaining about something, which is why you do not make drastic changes based on a few complainers. Even still, the vast majority of complaints that I remember were about gameplay and not as much about content structure. I am not saying there wasn't any complaints, I just don't remember much concerning content structure.Regardless, the biggest reason to change back to the Innings format is because it goes very well with a power creep. Don't forget.... During their streams before '23, the main reason they sold us "Seasons" (in place of Innings) was as a way for them to give us "99's Day 1".... That, I remember very well. Now that "99's Day 1" are gone, there is no longer a legitimate reason to have "Seasons".
I do support a power creep, which is the main reason why I support their previous "Innings" format, over the current "Seasons" content structure.

@Bearsfan217 Man, this is going to be a great 2XP weekend for those who don't have a mom or wife; so lucky!!!
