Foul balls are a problem
-
@LIONED-33 Wouldn't say that, they've addressed major issues in patches this year, fixed the two way glitch early this year, patched/nerfed the knuckle ball, they listen, somethings just don't have fixes. I can't imagine the community if they shrunk the PCI size and every casual was striking out every AB. They'd recieve major backlash, thats why i just grind y teeth from here on out.

First time I've seen any mention of Foul Balls on here.

I appreciate every time someone brings this topic up. It is a major issue that should have been addressed a long time ago. The only hope is for people to continue to bring it up. It may annoy some people that it gets brought up, but nothing is going to change if people continue to accept it. The foul ball issue creates a terrible experience that does not resemble the real game in any form.

Remove the outer PCI and I’m confident we see foul offs decrease

It's by design. They are catering to the players that swing at everything and can't get their pci on the ball to save their life. Tons of foul balls and hits on pitches 6 inches under the zone. I understand that these things can happen in real life, but this is a video game. Swinging at pitches out of the zone should be strikes way more often than not and right now they are 90% foulballs.

@chucky97___ no they absolutely can fix the fouls balls. If you read every patch they say "no game play fixes at this time" they fixed the corner dot pitches in 20 that couldn't be hit. They only fix the easy things and won't actually fix things that are broken. They claimed that foul balls would be extremely less this year and wiffs on very earlys would be higher. They are not on both accounts. When someone can foul off 40 pitches in a ranked game in 4inngs (the average for MLB for both teams in 9innings is 35) and 70 in 9innings there is a problem that they are just ignoring. As well as if you read zone hitting is suppose to give the best results. This year 80% of allstar ranked player are using directional because it is resulting in those absorbent amount of fouls. It's not skill anymore its just swing swing swing swing and swing again tell your oppent makes a pitching mistake. It's BS

This is really interesting info! Can you provide a link to where you found it? It'd be cool to take a look at stats like that.

I don't think linking to one's own rear end is allowed on this forum

@iBonafideScrub_ I feel like everytime I get someone at 2 strikes its only contact swings.

You know foul balls are an issue when I switch over to franchise for a couple games and the cpu had 25 foul balls in 3 innings

Same, it has to be because I don’t foul off as much as they do.

So are very late and very early hits. Check my account SDS, I just had a guy get 12 of those hits. Luckily the guy can’t hit homers or I was screwed but I get 1 or 2 but you’ll had me punching air after the 5th.

@GixxerRyder750
That's because we know that dev doesn't listen anyway.
