lets also be fair, they've kinda turned Directional Hitting into a glitch. I have not problem people using directional hitting, use what you want. I have a problem with the foul balls that you dont have to move a pci to to get, until the pitcher misses and boom. it happens way too much anymore. not saying anyone should or shouldnt use directional hitting. I'm saying the foul ball issue plays right into their swing type.

Also, why is it that people who choose Shield Woods as their home park, come to the forum to complain about their “opponents skill” whenever they lose a game?

I mean, that ballpark is the hitting equivalent of training wheels, but sure, your opponent “fluked” you. lol

I play at shield woods, I will never blame the outcome of a game or opponent home runs when knowing I am choosing shield woods allowing myself to be open to chaos.

@LIONED-33 using directional hitting is a severe disadvantage, no one, and i promise you no one is using directional at an elite level.

High elevation stadiums and strike zone hitting cams destroyed online play.

Strike Zone cams and High elevation stadiums have been a thing since 17.....

Online play became way more popular since then, strike zone cameras have always been a thing.

@chucky97___ that’s absolutely untrue. Directional is a disadvantage on Hall of Fame and Legend. Go watch some of the streams out there you’ll find a ton of people using directional. But again I don’t care if people use it or not. The issue is the foul balls. Go play an event game and use directional. See how many foul balls you get. Then go use pci.

@chucky97___ i think we are agreeing with each other here lol. I get it, to the people that know...we are not using directional over zone. i 10000% agree...however, there are people out there that are not worried about competing higher than Events who do use directional. and just foul ball foul ball foul ball foul ball, hit, rinse repeat. I'm not saying they are even winning games, i'm just saying its annoying and adds time on games that doesnt need to be there.

You also struck out 5 times to your opponents 1, but conveniently left that part of the “skill” discussion out.

Sorry you lost a game. By 2 runs. Don’t blame it on RNG.

I just lost a game where my opponent struck out eighteen times to my 8 times. He had 5 hard hit balls the ENTIRE game and scored 5 runs to beat me 5-3. A strikeout difference of 4 doesn't discount the OPs point.

Maybe if we listened to people's complaints/points of view instead of trying to immediately troll them we'd get somewhere...

@xIAmJumpMan23x Well, if your opponent scored more runs than you, how is that the games fault and not yours?

@BJDUBBYAH I'm not saying "it's the game's fault." I'm saying if you're going to use a strikeout differential of 4 to discount OPs original point, then I have a similar example where the strikeout differential was 333% the OTHER direction. It shows, to OP's point, that user input is too often secondary to random RNG in determining the outcome of at-bats.

Instead of using a minimal strikeout differential to discount the OP's point for no reason, maybe add something constructive...or just sit this one out

I think the people that complain about directional don't actually use it

foul ball foul ball foul ball foul ball, hit, rinse repeat

You missed the 'whiff on good timing in the strike zone' or 'weak groundball on a well timed curveball'

@BJDUBBYAH But that's what we're saying...we don't have nearly enough control over if those balls we put into play ARE hits. For my example, I put significantly more balls into play than my opponent. I hit more balls hard than my opponent. I just was not arbitrarily rewarded with as many HRs. We're literally saying we don't have enough control over if what we hit hard becomes a hit.

Like...I don't know if you're being purposefully dense because being a troll is your identity and it's weirdly how you get your jollies. Or if you're an actual moron that doesn't understand what we're trying to say. Either way, you're essentially the dog [censored] on the bottom of the shoe of this conversation.

    You stink
    You add nothing
And most of us want to just scrape you off and move on...partner

@BJDUBBYAH Go for it dude! I've only talked about one game and you won't find any evidence from that game that's any different from what I've claimed.

And you can look at 1000 games from before that and nothing in there that is good, bad, ugly, or anything else applies to the theoretical nature of what me or the OP is talking about.

You can be good at the game; you can be bad at the game; you can be that guy that has 300 freakin wins already. We're talking about the theory of how the hitting engine works and the arbitrary nature of hitting outcomes. Our individual skill does nothing to change that.

But then again I don't expect you to understand that or understand the nature of anecdotal evidence and how it doesn't apply to something like this...

@xIAmJumpMan23x You see, neither you, or OP are giving your opponents any credit. Your opponent is rated 820 this Ranked season, 17-7 record and 37-13 for the year. Definitely a solid player. 2009 rank on the year to your 16409.
