I'd like to see some confirmation on this from SDS. The definition of having Plate discipline is literally the ability to lay off balls, holding back on check swings, and having the ability to walk more.

I honestly thought it only affected the CPU controlled players. I'd definitely appreciate confirmation of what some of these affect or don't affect

@Shauwn you’ll have to dig into pre-release videos of 21 IIRC (maybe 22; 90% sure it was 21); people were mad at the ridiculous check swings with players having 80+ plate discipline; one of the main complaints on this forum. Since then it’s been “skill based”.
You used to be able to check successfully on the majority of the swings; now it’s what, less than 20%, if that?
Other forum vets could probably confirm this.

I'm very disappointed with this card. I hit better with 89 Montgomery than this card and the defense is about the same. I'm currently doing the TA C2 ALC and have moved him to my bench. I usually hit well with Witt, but after 6 games and no hits (lots of fly and grounder outs), he goes to my bench and I go back to Montgomery.
