Speaking as a veteran of the game since the beginning I can assure you this is NOT the worst gameplay ever. The gameplay is actually the best it’s ever been. As far as too many foul balls - That goes away once you reach HOF & Legend difficulties. It’s an All-Star occurrence. If you want to experience less foul balls then play on a higher difficulty.
If they just shrunk the outter PCI on AS and below then this wouldn't be an issue. We know they adjust areas specific to difficulty so simply shrinking outter PCI would help a lot.
I say this as someone who is mostly exclusive to AS difficulty.

As for gameplay, MLBTS '18 was far worse. They have not had an update to hitting in over two years and while it is not perfect, it is acceptable. The gameplay "problems" you are referring to are due to H2H games being played on All-Star and below. They cannot make the gameplay great on all levels, so they optimized their gameplay for HOF. -

The gameplay is horrible this year literally the only people commenting here are the biggest and most pathetic white knights on the forums who claim every year is “the best it’s ever been”.

Gameplay is great this year in my opinion. I don't know about "best it's ever been", that's kind of subjective, but I am loving the variety of hits we're seeing, fielder urgency, and I think the power creep is helping some to. I've really been enjoying gameplay this year.

Looks like OP hit the G-Fuel and got a mercy at Shield Woods. I’m curious if they felt like the game was favoring the “worse” player in that one?

So for Ta 2 they took the moments right out of it for casual players thanks SDS. Not everybody plays on hall of fame, not everyone plays online head to head. The content and programs are just horrible honestly

Are rewards for bad players like the pack odds? Because I've had pretty good pack luck, but none in the bad players online program.
