Rosters change after spring training
-
Why do the rosters change immediately after spring training. I have the roster moves set to manual yet. It’s still puts guys on waivers or moves players to AAA. Is there a way for this not to happen?
-
The assistant manager does this. I can"t find a solution either.

Are you down to 26 guys before advancing to the regular season? CPU will do it for you if you try to start the season will more than 26 guys on the MLB roster.
After the last spring training game you have to make your roster moves then advance to regular season -
The game will redo your roster regardless.

I feel this will happen as well. They will put people where they want them as opposed to where you want them. Kind of irritating.

Its never been fixed apparently. Just made me flat out quit playing my franchise and the game. Even getting down to 26 it moved people from it to waivers and brought guys i just sent down, back up.
its absolutely ridiculous this has gone on for so long

I feel like we've had this discussion before.

You literally have to fix the 40 man roster before you begin. All the players with no options have to be removed. As do all the older players with too much service time. All of these guys will be DFA'ed or waived when ST is over.
The reducing the 40 man roster to 26 men used to work in previous years, but not anymore. You have to propagate your 40 man or the CPU will do it for you. Even during the season.
What I like to do, is fill out my 40 man roster with A ball players that are complete garbage. This way they won't get claimed off waivers, and I don't care if they do.
The only non-MLB level guys I put on the 40 man are the ones that will get picked up in the rule 5 draft. Although, I usually trade those guys away if they run out of options.
