The thing SDS didn't really get right though, is that if he's played as he is played IRL - DH every day he's not pitching, and in the rotation - on franchise or March to October, he'd essentially have no energy to pitch and can last about 30-40 pitches an outing. Really need to turn his stamina way up.

Well, Madden launched with game breaking bugs in every game mode so it's definitely beating this game in that respect.

Post-game summary is in the playoffs, but it's repetitive and doesn't add much.

Can't not change settings though, since some of the settings don't save properly

MtO doesnt update rosters so at least what you see now is what you'll be getting for the next year

I noticed the same thing and thought it was just the fact that I didn't have 99 OVR cards yet. I've been using Randy Johnson a lot and been finding first pitch strikes aren't automatic any more.

My first DD game with Randy Johnson on the mound he gets nailed by a comebacker in the 2nd inning and literally got knocked back onto the mound all splayed out in dramatic fashion and had to leave the game. Never had that happen this early and in this fashion before, in fact it was so early it's the first time I had nobody in the pen warming up and the game pretty much just had me throw my reliever in with 0 warmup. It's something new all right, but I hope it's a fluke because bullpen games suck.

You need to not just renew or extend the players that are marked for arbitration/automatic renewal but literally every player whose contract is up. For minor leaguers it's not really obvious since right now the interface says nothing, but nothing means they are leaving. You need to offer those players extensions too.

Not sure where to actually report bugs, but in franchise mode, after Ohtani is placed into your pre-set lineup before entering a game as DH, and it's also his turn in the rotation to pitch, using the player lock on Ohtani would have Ohtani both pitching and hitting, except the game doesn't respond to any controls when he's at the plate. This can only be fixed by removing player lock in game or by simulating past his at-bat. Also, subbing out pitcher Ohtani doesn't sub out hitter Ohtani, so Ohtani in the DH spot stays in the game even though he's pulled from the mound. The game properly puts someone else in the DH slot when using quick manage or when the game is simulated, and the bug only appears with player lock, but basically makes playing franchise mode with Ohtani extremely cumbersome while at the same time gives quite a bit of advantage since you can use him as an opener and keep him at DH for the rest of the game.

Also, inability to set an actual 6-man rotation or adjust Ohtani's stamina above 99 in game means that if he's actually played every day like he is in real life he will always run out of energy on the mound around 30 pitches in and start throwing meatballs. Although that's not so much a bug but just a lazy implementation of the fatigue model.

Hell if Mike Trout's "Millville Meteor" nickname was put on Wikipedia first and then back-referenced by baseball-reference and then the media so it stuck, who can say which nickname is actually organic and which nickname is just some shenanigans aided by the referencing of freely editable internet sources.

The Millville Meteorologist is still the better nickname for Trout, btw.
