So we can't get the Nestor Cortes/Chris Taylor/Jake Cronenworth cards if we're not in New York or San Diego?
-
@xElRojo44x They cancelled the codes because they were only supposed to be obtainable from scanning a QR code on a billboard and the codes got shared online instead
-
Codes for free stuff being shared online? Not their fault, nobody could have seen that coming.
-
Seems like a good idea on paper, but it’s only going to anger people because it’s the internet everyone will find out
-
I saw the codes on a ShowZone tweet, put them in, and somehow got two CT3 and a Nestor card (in fact I'm using him to pitch in an ALE game right now). Oh - I live in Sierra Springs, CA - nowhere near L.A. or S.D. or N.Y. (SDS said the billboards were in NY and LA).

its gonna anger people that they're giving free cards to people in certain cities while those of us who live an hour or 3 away from those cities miss out on free cards towards collections.
-
very fair that we all paid for the game but some content is being region locked now. very cool SDS, great idea!
-
I have put up with a LOT since I started playing in 2016. This is the first thing they've ever done that makes me want to refund the game and never give them another dime or moment of my time again. This is the single most braindead move I have ever seen a developer make. Literally anyone could have told them exactly how this would be received. That means so are so out of touch they honestly didn't understand that or they simple don't care. I'm not sure which is worse.
-
Nope if I can’t select uniforms that exist in online rated y’all don’t get access to cards that exist in DD
-
SDS some people seems to be mad about this. I am not mad, but it does seem a bit unfair to lock cards to these locations. Any way that we could get some sort of answer from you on why this would happen. Maybe we will better understand. Or perhaps is there a program of some sort coming soon that will have these cards. I understand the region locked thing I guess, but for me, I am a sox fan that lives in minnesota if you did that then maybe I would not get a card from my team possibly one of my favorite players. It seems weird.
-
I was able to get all of them and I live in PA. I had to do the long and monotonous way of getting free trials for vpn services I'll probably never use again, unless SDS does region lock these cards again. Took me about 45 minutes total between downloading the services and actually having the card show up in my pack history in game. Hope it helps.
-
I live in LA (no ... the other one), and was able to get both Nestor and Taylor.
If SDS's previous track record is anything to go by, these cards will show up one day in a CHOICE pack (along w/ HaSeong Kim, Tarasco, Mookie, etc) somewhere down the line.
-
So I will never get the croneworth card?
-
@sbchamps17 your fault for living where you live. –sds
-
I'm sorry but thats just not right I live on the east coast while the code and SDS for that matter is on the west coast. I think that it should've been made available for everyone
-
@SaveFarris lol “track record” on QR code card giveaways placed in certain cities? like where are we pulling this data? Just yapping about anything these days. It’s a bit alarming you guys care this much and feel this entitled to a couple meaningless cards that you just make stuff up lol.

you just make stuff up
In @SaveFarris_PSN 's defense, he doesn't make stuff up. Some others do, but not him...

Its a terrible idea on paper. Its honestly the worst idea they have had all year.
Region locked cards is terrible. If the cities got to use the cards a week or two before everyone else, that's better but still kind of silly
-
They're.
Not.
Region.
Locked. -

Region.
Locked. They absolutely are. SDS even said so.
Cortes and Taylor were able to be gotten because they made a mistake in their coding, but they changed that.
-
I still feel like this is one of the worst things they did. I wasn't anywhere near a computer or a PS5 when the Cortes/Taylor codes leaked so I didn't get them. I also live nowhere near a city with a major league team so if they do this again I won't get those cards either. Absolutely horrific idea by SDS.
