Their FB states thst you have to Collect the Season Awards players from Drop 1 - 8 to get the Lightning Player.
But it also states that the cards that the cards from the packs ARENT included.
So it looks like you just have to Collect the player(s) that are located every 50pts.
On a side note; if the Lightning players ARENT Core; it's going to be a loss.

There are gonna be 8 drops so its gonna be a weekly thing with the 8th drop coming the week before last week of the season.

Yeah, which means if they're labeled as an S1 card, you can only use it for a week; unless you use a WC spot.
Depending on who it is; it may not be worth a WC spot.
Also, if the cards in the packs aren't REQUIRED to be collected; how long until Cruz drops in price?

Im guessing probably soon once people realize they're holding onto a card that no one really needs for anything but collections.

Let's hope SDS doesn't pull a fast one on us. However, if this is true, I hope SDS doesn't water down the Lightning player card.
Right now, cards that qualify for the Buxton and Arenado boost fit the overall card meta compared to most cards that don't.
The reason Cruz is so expensive is bc his card is a top 3 SS and 3rd baseman based on the overall meta.
If the lightning card has 60 or more vision and 45 or more speed without being at least a top 5 in his position, then the card will be considered mid or less.
Curious to see what happens. -

Prepare for a shitload of cards with 60 vision just to avoid them being eligible for the Buxton Boost.

That's SDS this year. With xp. With attribute manipulation. With pack drops being less frequent. With too many top players available only in packs.
Big L this year for DD.

I would think so unless SDS drops 30 S2 hitter snd pitcher captain cards. But I'd love to hear their response on this.

They've already done this, especially with the new Trout Topps Now card, lol.

He'll drop just as soon as this pack gets hidden in every other Conquest Map.
Trust me, you're eventually going to be sick of earning this pack.

I’m pretty sure they said we would be getting new cornerstone players with each season.
Buxton doesn’t have any season specific criteria for boosts but if you want to use him in S2 you will have to Wildcard him.

@SuntLacrimae50 I agree. The Trout card would be awesome if it had 59 vision but no. You know they did that on purpose and it’s really unfortunate.
