Theres an issue that online players use timing hitting as an option during game play. It's extremely unfair when players that use zone hitting when your opponent uses timing. All you use is one button. There should be an option prior to gameplay for zone hitting only just like theres an option for levels like hall of fame , legend etc. before gameplay with normal teams online

I agree, there isn’t much skill when using timing. It doesn’t matter who I pitch with. If they time my pitch they are going to crush it.

zone hitting is the best hitting for advanced play. You get to place the pci and time the hit for the best result.
Timing hitting is basic and has downsides like reaching a pitch outside the zone when swinging etc

Also directional hitting is the exact same thing as timing, the only difference between the two is if you move the directional arrow to try and “direct” your hit, it influences the outcome, but if you don’t touch the left analog stick and just swing normally without having the arrow on screen, it uses timing hitting. So both directional and timing are the same when not using the left analog stick.

Sorry for the long reply but if you’re having a hard time beating timing hitters/directional hitters, pitch around the zone and you’ll have an easier time!

I always use timing hitting and I don't hit well at all, hence why I barely play online
