Freeze offs….

Unacceptable in my personal opinion. It completely ruins the joy of playing online, since a freeze is always looming. I am a hardcore BR player and I had many freezes at 10-0 and 11-0 over the years, where I had to leave my console on for days because I was up in the game and my opponent wouldn't quit (assuming he was also close to flawless). Gets tiring and at some point late in the year I just quit out of it, deep run or not.

For some reason, most of my freeze offs always seemed to be in events games. I’ll grab a cup of coffee and come back, wait 5 and quit - stakes are low. I’ve only ever had 1 freeze off in BR, and it was like win 5 or 6 I think. But RS it where it was brutal. You could be up by 7 in the 8th inning, and you just wasted 40 minutes for a 50/50 stand off.

Did you try turning your controller off and back on? Or unplugging it then plugging it back in? I heard those sometimes help unfreeze the game.

I think they don't mention it because, unlike the ones that were initiated by a user, regular freeze offs can happen anytime from anything.
While it may have something to do with the programming; I think it also has something to do with you or your opponent's connection.

I had 5 games freeze and I didn’t turn my console off and lost about 200 in rating all together lol

UPDATE: My PS5 is still on and I just got the win 12 hours later. The fans even stuck around for it

what a turn off i can only imagine - not to mention you get emotionally invested in the run being so close to Flawless - only to have a freeze out - Destiny was a game i went flawless in a couple times - it was 3X3 teams so there was a huge importance on the idea of 0 freezing = and we never froze once in those runs - nor did that game have those issues - just some cursory observations on the importance of competitive play being competitive

I was in a freeze off tonight. (No [censored] right?!). Got hit with a connection error and then was put on a freeze for 12 HOURS! If the game developers don’t responded to my complaints I’m all for a class action lawsuits of anyone else is
