All Star difficulty offline feels like the real thing
-
The gameplay is really great this year. When I play on All Star difficulty I feel like the game is the real thing. The amount of balls the cpu pitcher throws, the strikes that just catch the corners of the plate, and the pitcher seems to be choosing the right pitches to throw at the right situations. Maybe the latter is in my head but time will tell.
Game is somewhat harder this year for me. But I am really digging All Star difficulty right now offline.

What difficulty did you play in previous series?

I find All Star+ for both hitting and pitching to be the sweet spot for myself. Wish could set it as a level directly.
Once I get to that rea, I lock down the dynamic difficulty slider and it's been playing excellent since.

It’s weird, I normally grind on rookie because I’m [censored] at hitting but love pitching. But this year rookie felt much harder and I couldn’t figure it out. The timing felt harder. Then for one conquest map I had to play All-Star and I found it much easier. Not sure if they adjusted the timing and slowed things way down for rookie and I just couldn’t adapt, but All-Star feels easier than in prior years for me (someone who isn’t great at hitting).

I don't think rookie mode is harder. This year in rookie mode, the cpu pitcher throws a lot of balls than in previous years. it's just don't swing at balls and rookie mode is pretty easy. The few times I've played on rookie this year, I've had many innings where the cpu pitcher has walked the bases loaded or walked in runs.
So on rookie, it's not like previous years where the cpu pitcher will just goove pitchers down the middle to you. This year he'll just throw a lot of balls and you have to lay off.
