@aaronjw76 I'm just saying like no matter what we'll have to grind like I get restarting every season might stink but at least theirs a purpose this year and they keep trying to be innovative, I get others will hate on the game simply to hate on the game cause there is no pleasing some.

@biscodisco Do you want people to not use good cards? People are always going to play towards the meta cards what is that you want?

@chucky97___ that is exactly why the game gets stale quickly. Maybe there are people who enjoy facing the same lineup all of time. Hell I do the same thing with my lineup because that's what the game dictates. I've been saying it for years and it will never happen, but if this game had a salary cap ranked mode I think it would be way more enjoyable. And no, Events does not count, that's three innings. The game is supposed to be a simulation. Let people actually think and have to be creative with their lineups is all I am saying.

@biscodisco madden tried a salary capped mode and the mode was awful, I hear you but the game offline is a sim, online in a "Ranked Playlist" people are going to compete and it should be an input based game. Salary cap would be the exact same, The best teams in salary capped would all be replicated.

come to think of it salary capped would be a nightmare, you'd fave sub marine pitchers, all sinker cutter pitchers, pitchers with weird wind ups, it'd be all of the same.

No matter how one would add restrictions, there would always be some kind of "meta" lineup that most would have some sort of variation of.

@Dankmaymays You get 4 wild card spots find a spot for 4 of them, the moajority of players won't get all 6 99's lol, again 4 Wild card spots.
But we don't know what it takes to unlock all four wildcard slots. Will they be at the beginning of the reward path or closer to the 1,000,000 XP mark which may make them less useful.
I think they also said that the number of wildcard numbers could vary per season.
Here is the quote
"but we will want to say that the number of wild cards can vary from season to season so be on the lookout on how you can earn and unlock those wild card slots".

I just read the thread title … very slowly … are we really talking about something, that is basically 12 weeks away from now?!? We are really complaining and while we cannot find something else beyond the xp cap we look for something in the future … awesome

It's a valid concern, although it is maybe a little too early to call it horrible. I am willing to see how it plays out but I am skeptical.
People who prefer the old system where cards were valid all year long will never be happy with any iteration of the seasons method.
