HOW TO ASK FOR A TRADE OR RELEASE
-
I am in my first season and reached the Majors, but would like to ask for a trade or release. Is there anyway to do that or do I have to wait for a certain amount of time etc?

@cvnorton2 need 6 years of service time before you can just be a free agent, if you're player is good, they wont just release you. As for a trade, one year in good luck.

I haven't checked to see if it's still there, but in previous years there has been a slider for "trade frequency." Move it all the way to the right and you'll likely get traded once per season. Unfortunately there's no way to control which team you end up on, so you might end up Juan Soto-ing until you reach FA

That's a good idea. I hadn't thought about that and yes that slider is still there. I'm on the Rockies currently so it couldn't be a much worse team to get traded to lol

I thought the “take a a chance with whoever wants me the most in the draft” was going to be edgy and fun but now I’m stuck on the Reds. Tough life.

If you made the majors early sim a few years and you can still be available for free agency by 24/25

If your agent calls you, answer: "I've never seen myself with my team" or "I'd like to play somewhere else". The answer has to be something like that. Then you have a chance of being traded during the season.
