Jeter jumpthrow moment

Need help with this one. Can’t get jeter to pick up the ball. I’ve hit X when it says to but then he doesn’t pick ball up. What am I missing? (don’t say brain lol)

You have to move the glove into the middle of the circle/bullseye

By glove I mean the transparent glove with the "L" on it, you move it with the L stick.

When your "glove" is in the center of the circle you press which button it says, usually X

I didn't have to move anything...All I had to do was hit X when the Ring lined up

I'll take every opportunity I can to repeat myself and say that I HATE the quicktime button prompts on defense. Not rewarding or fun.
