What the heck is going on?

Hitting is already atrocious, I’m not the best hitter as it is so I am forced to use directional. I still can’t time up any pitch and when I finally get “good” timing on a pitch in the strike zone I completely whiff lol. Can someone explain what’s going on here because I can’t use zone at all.

The people who don't use directional think it's OP
the people that do use directional can't hit.Somebody is wrong.

I am living proof that directional is for people that can’t hit lol it’s a shame because I consider my self above average at pitching.

I’ve used directional since it’s inception and it’s great offline for simple ratings based results. Online it’s not. Last year was the first year I really started playing online. With good timing in last years you could be somewhat successful but you basically singled your way to wins. This year you need perfect perfect on a swing for it to be more than a bloop or out. But also be prepared for groundouts on letters high sliders or whiffs on pitches down the middle with good timing. It’s a complete roll of the dice unless you get perfect-perfect.

Maybe you don't hear from the people who use directional well?
I have found directional to be quite effective if you have patience and know what to swing at. It can be very useful to break out of a slump as well.
But if you already have those skills, Zone is better by far.
