Triple Play

I just had a triple play turned against me in a conquest game. I had a runner on 1st and 3rd. If anybody would like to take a guess as to how it transpired, go ahead.

You thougt the ball would fall but the cpu made a ridiculus catch? Thus the cpu threw out both of your runners? Am i close?

Yah that really sucks. No tripple plays yet for me this year but plenty of double plays on hits I was sure were going to fall. Excitment to frustration in seconds

Good guess. Here’s exactly what happened:
Batter hits a deep fly to right. Granderson goes back to tag. He immediately gets a text. He pulls out his phone to check the text and doesn’t acknowledge that I told him to run. I assume he texts back. Then he puts his phone away, tucks his jersey back in, and saunters on down the line. He gets hosed.
Meanwhile, and unbeknownst to me, the runner at first spots a nickel in the base paths and begins looking for it. After the catcher tags granderson out, he throws the ball to first, who then walks over to where my base runner is standing, tags him out and takes the nickel for himself. Just your typical triple play. -

Just your typical triple play.Those players need an old school manager to keep them in line. Rule #1: no phones or pocket change it your pockets when you’re on base.
I find the most annoying when you put a ball in the gap and hold down l1 to have the runner go, and your guy on second waits there like he needs the baton on a relay.

There is a video of it too.Interesting. You wouldn’t have the link for that would you? There’s some rule where if you tag someone out for the last out on a ground ball but then throw it to first, the out at first cancels out the tagged runner.
Was it something like that? Tag three runners then throw to first? -
