Is there a way in the companion app to go back to previous releases of MLB The Show? I really would like to an option to go back to MLB The Show 23 in the app.

I wouldn't think so, but if you don't want to update the app to 24, just leave it at 23.

Are you asking this because something has changed where you’re now unable to switch to previous versions? I ask because as far as I’m aware you can switch as far back as 21 or at least you’ve been able to ever since I’ve been here but that’s only been a little more than a year.
What you do is this: open the app and pull up the forum. Once in the forum look up at the top right and you’ll see three icons. A baseball, a question mark and one other one I can’t remember what is is right now but you touch the baseball icon and it opens up the current version stat page but if you touch the two digit year logo at the top left you should get a drop down menu that’ll let you pick from the last several years. Hope this helps.

I just checked and it still works. Its interesting that you mentioned this because mine doesn’t even have the option to look at 24s stuff yet. I’m guessing it’s because I didn’t buy the game so it just stayed with the current version but then again I’ve also got the option to go back to 21 but I never played that version either…so not sure.
What I will say is it usually stays on whichever version you had pulled up previously when you log back in so once you select 23 as your version it should stay that way until you either switch it back or clear your cookies/cache after which it goes back to the current version you’re playing by default or at least that’s been the case for me.

I can't get into my app at all even the 23 version, but I think that's because I don't have the game yet

The update for 24 is available, if you have early access you can go into 24 on the app,
you can go back to previous years on the app. -
So what your saying is because I don't have the game yet I can't access the app even the 22 or 23 app til I get the game on Tuesday. If that's the case then that's BS because I still plan on playing 23 until I get the game on Tuesday

Another thing to try if you’re just wanting to reselect your default would simply be to delete the app and reinstall.
@sbchamps17_NSW I don’t have the new game either and I’ve got no issues getting on app. Have you tried reinstalling? Also try going to your web browser and clearing your cache and history and see if that helps. I don’t know why but that’s worked for me in the past when I couldn’t get logged in

It keeps telling me that I can’t connect to the server’s to sign in , I’ve uninstalled android reinstalled my app and cleared the cache but still can’t get in

Have you tried using a different device
if you’ve got a tablet lying around or someone there who lives with you just ask if you could just use it for an expirement and then delete it back off. That would help you to isolate if it’s a setting on your device that’s causing the issue

It’s the same on my iPad as well, I sent a ticket in explaining what’s going on and’s everything I’ve done so we’ll see if they eventually respond

Go to the tab in the app where you open the forum and then scroll down to the bottom of the screen to where you see it say log out. Once you do this it will revert to the screen that gives you the choice. I just went to 24 and looked around, then logged out and now I'm back on 23

I also logged out completely and signed backs in but still says can’t connect to the mlb servers
