Can't happen after you create a save file in franchise mode.

Heres a couple things I would like to see in MLBTS Franchise:
The ability to work with pitchers to make changes to their pitches or their windup. I would love to have the ability to sign or trade for a pitcher and then have them make changes to their pitchmix or maybe suggest they go from the stretch (similar to what the rays did with Glasnow)
More trade slots making it 5 for each team, allowing for more blockbusters when trading stars.
A dynamic slider that allows for either ratings increases due to performance or potential. Really frustating to have a .310 BA season with a player but since hes a C he stays at 72 Overall.
Ability to make key prospects that you want getting everyday ABs or in the rotation so that there is less risk of having them benched during a sim.
Make Free Agency feel more important, its not fun to just stare at a screen and then sim a day and not really feel like it was a win or a loss.
The ability to set up more bullpen options (Fireman, Stopper, ETC) and put more specifies on when you want pitchers to pitch (i.e Do not bring in a stopper if the team is up by 6+ runs)
I would love to see Momentum stats where if a player has a good month in your Franchise he gets a ratings boost until he cools off, or atleast see it happen more.

i wish the monthly player attribute update and the supercharge boost could reflect on franchise mode, which will be more immersive on every trade decision.
I play this game a lot so this wouldn’t work for me and some people play more games than me. I get a season done in 2 months. My players progress according to how they play not how the real versions of them play. This suggestion makes zero sense in my opinion. I’m not losing a player to an injury because he got hurt or having him decrease because he has a bad season in real life if I’m killing it with him.

To no have online franchise is a joke. Another year of no real improvements in franchise. I love the coop they where able to put in the game to play with friends. But about playing with friends in franchise? It crazy when you think about how far ahead NBA 2k is ahead of every other sports franchise in there franchise mode. That's the only mode I play because it's so great. Please SDS it's not like you have to guess what we want in franchise. Just take alot of what 2k offers in there franchise mode!
-
@PhillyDawg3_XBL My best guess is that not enough people took advantage of the feature which is why they scrapped it.
-
@SuntLacrimae50 I'm also a franchise guy. sds only focuses on DD. sports titles are moving into online modes instead of focusing on what they were originally made for.
-
@AxeGary99 I'm pretty sure you can edit windups by going to roster, clicking on the player and selecting " edit player". you can change appearence, attributes and personal things like batting stance, stride and windups.

For the first time in years I won't be buying the game. No y2y saves in franchise.
-
There hasn't been y2y saves since it also came out for Xbox

Then I guess you haven’t gotten the game since 2020. That was the last one you could carry over your previous franchise.

@BJDUBBYAH
- It would be cool if they keep the stats of minor leagues in the player card for the player's entire career
- I want to be able to customize uniforms and team logo in franchise mode for nintendo switch (it's broken)
- A tab that I can compare batter vs pitcher lifetime stats, maybe in the in game manager tab...that way I can see how my player is doing against a certain pitcher and set up match-ups.
- Instead of pictures of faces on the player's profiles I would like to have baseball cards similar to dd
-
@PhillyDawg3 - I have been saying for years that Franchise and RTTS seriously need to more resemble the 2k MyCareer model.
-
The lineup adjustment and trade logic by the CPU is really messed up.
Has anyone given any serious thought to the selection criteria for the Gold Glove Award? I figured out by what logic the Gold Glove winners were selected. They are simply sorted by fielding rate, and priority is given to teams in the Eastern Division. Isn't it really stupid? If you doubt what I'm saying, check it out. -
NO MONEY SPENT is not what SDS wants.
Money Gouging Gouchers.....
-
But I wish franchise mode compiled and recorded, yearly stats, awards, Allstars appearences. Just like the baseball reference site.
Franchise mode is garbage. Players careers are unrealistic. Their time of service is wack. On the down-slope by 25. Out of the league by 30.
-
out of morbid curiosity what do you want to see them do with Franchise... the only thing I can think is expansion or relocation... can you use created stadiums in Franchise or custom uniforms besides replacing a team with your custom team???
I want to play more Franchise this year as I didn't get to really dig into it last year despite being hyped for the improved drafting.
-
GM/Agent relationships, I want a in game Scott Boras to be a pain in the !@# at free agent time.
Better relocation and expansion, not sure how much I'd use it but after create a stadium those are the obvious next big things. They use to have realignment during the 989 sports era I'd love to see that return.
-
For me, Franchise needs a one pitch/one result option, at least for the manage only mode. This has been a staple of baseball management games since Strat-O-Matic. With a one pitch only option, I could watch the game being played and it would only take a half hour or less. OOTP does this and it makes playing instead of simming more fun.
-
The big-5 sports games don't care about solo-offline seasons. Ultimate Team is their bread and butter, with a story mode as a secondary feature.
The days of franchise and career mode being the big feature are over. I wonder if we'll even have those modes in a decade
-
@LTG_8719
I am with you, I love Franchise and it's the only reason I play the game and it really does feel like something is left on the table every year.
Personally, this is what I want to see out of Franchise. First and Foremost fix the bugs and give us some ability with sliders to effect progression, regression and other minor tweaks that we can fit the game to our personal preferences. We all know player progression is bugged and low and behold it's still bugged (or bad) 99 ranked players shouldn't fall off to sub 60s in single seasons, but this persists
"Era's" mode. Similar to the NBA 2K feature, simply put I wanna start franchises in past seasons and work my way up to present. Absolutely no reason not to work on this, and if it isn't for you, just skip it. For many of us who have played for generations though, it would be great to replay some of our favorite eras, and it adds some length to your franchises. The real sad thing is many of these players are already in the game in DD, and it's a 1 time addition they can always set it and forget it ever there after, but always adds more dimension to Franchise mode.
Larger trades, better logic for trades and better logic for setting line ups among the CPU. I am really getting tired of watching a 99 Ronald Acuna being benched for the playoffs for... why?! Similarly, I wanna see teams go all in and fire sale harder in season as well.
Expanded Awards screens. It should cover the League history, all of it, or at the very least there should be a data base of everything that is relevant. It's crazy we can only see the past 3 MVPs on a screen with so much empty space.... fill it! Let us celebrate having played many seasons. To be fair, there ARE some improvements here this season, you can see more awards on individual players and stuff, but still the league wide data base is standard in EVERY other sports game. If Madden can tell me who won the first Super Bowl, I am sure SDS can too.
Finally, we really could use some Post Season specific announcing. Not only is there 0 raise in tension, they call Game 7 of the World Series like it's a Spring Training game. The crowd should get louder, there should be a little additional presentation and just even a handful of lines that show tension, instead of them saying this start is sure gonna help his next one on the final game of the season, in the playoffs.
Obviously, I don't speak for everyone, but I imagine anyone franchise lover would find something in there that is an improvement, and could easily skip the features they didn't like. Long Story short, just don't put out an identical product, make some effort to improve a feature that has been standard for decades.
