Is it just me but know one is talking how good he can be switch hitting great defender his 99 if the stats are up to par it’s his job to lose as my end game centre fielder

Bernie is a great addition to the game even if you don't like the Yankees. In his prime, he was a rare combo of hitting/power/defense/speed. The only real knock on him was that he didn't have an arm, but a switch-hitting CF with all those tools should make a lot of lineups as long as they don't screw up by giving him a wonky swing.
Very excited to see Bernie in action. He hasn't been in The Show since the very first one back in 2006.

You could but for a good part of his career he was a great defender

As much as it pains me, being a Red Sox fan, I agree with you. He was a great defender. We'll have to wait and see how they rate him. Maybe if they bring Captains back; that boost could help his arm strength.

They could give him a gold glove card and juice his arm almost what they did a bit with Alex Gordon -
He could have some great cards. Aside from his arm strength, he could pretty much do it all.

Bernie had speed, but was not a great base stealer, so his baserunning attributes may not be that great.

It's crazy to think about how big a deal it was for him to get a 100 million dollar contract. I think he was the 3rd player to get one, but they all happened close together and was considered a big step forward in salaries.
Now we have a 700 million dollar contract in Ohtani

Bernie came close. He signed for around $90M I think, but Kevin Brown became the first MLB player to crack the $100M mark that same offseason. Another guy I'd love to see in the game.
