I’ve been a long time player of the show and played the last 2 years on PS5 and prior to that PS4, PS3 and PS2. I started helping my 6 year old son play mlb23 on his Switch and the comparison to PS5 is a completely different game. While I expected this to be the case I didn’t anticipate zone hitting and dotting up pitches to basically be impossible. Switch may be okay for certain offline play but for online play, moments and showdown I think a PlayStation or Xbox are a must have. For MLB24 I plan to introduce my son to the PS5 version. If you can afford to do it I highly encourage any and all players to get mlb24 for a current gen system. The difference is truly night and day.

@TripleH-4481_PSN I think you’re right. I take my PS4 when we go to the beach house incase we want to watch a BluRay and I’ll fire up the game when my girlfriend is busy with her sister and the kids. Problem is, lots of people cannot afford the current generation consoles and can only play on PS4, XBox One or Switch.
Good luck with your little one on the PS5. Hope he doesn’t accidentally drop your DualSense controller. Lol.

Yeah I understand the cost element. I was just amazed with the difference in gameplay. He is getting into baseball more year after year and I figure his reflexes will best mine in no time. Maybe then he can handle the difficult challenges and he can let me handle the easier stuff. Role reversal incoming.

@TripleH-4481_PSN The cost isn’t an issue for me. I just got my girlfriend’s son a PS5 for Christmas. He’s about to be 15 though, not 6. You do you though.

My girlfriend’s parents own that. I wish it was mine.

I could get my own if that’s what I wanted. That isn’t the point. The point is there is no need to trash people who cannot afford to purchase current generation consoles by stating the obvious. That’s like me saying my 2024 Corvette is better than your 2012 Camry. You should go buy one.

Since you said "I wish it was mine" I assumed that is what you wanted. Either way, we get it. You're well off. That's great.
