DON'T lock in ANY sellable cards, except for maybe the LS cards (more on that later, as chances are at the end of the game's cycle; you'll get a BUNCH of them in non-sellable packs.
As for the LS: IMO, unless you're lucky with packs, know how to flip, or spend money on stubs, I wouldn't even worry about completing it until late in the cycle.
Chances are, what ever cards they come out with, will be obsolete by the All-Star break.

I didn't even bother completing the LS collections. What's the point? I do love MVP Sammy but had no incentive to get the weaker Mark and Jeter. It used to be a big deal to complete LS collections, now with so many programs/cards/Team Affinity, it's just not necessary. I sell all my duplicates fast, save up my stubs. Next year: i will not be buying bundles in hopes to get that great chase pack card with THE LIVE SERIES 85 PLAYER OR GOLD PLAYER. I'm not kidding, I'm like 1 for 60 on Chase packs in the show 2023. Recently those 25K chase packs i'm like 1 for 20 all purples except 99 tatis charisma. I would have over a million stubs and then some if i hadn't wasted money on packs in 23'.

Jeter raked for me. Other than that, you have a point. Collecting was meaningless in 23 … If you were clever and sold high, you could get all the collections pretty easily -

I got that Jeter very late in the cycle. He was great. I still haven't used the Sosa, except to pinch run, once!
The LS wasn't as big a deal this year because of 99's at launch.
