Do you have cross-play turned on?
Are you direct connected to your console or are you on wifi?

I can’t hardwire. The router is downstairs. And it was Xbox/Xbox.

Wifi could be your problem. Especially of there's a long distance from the router to the console. Can you try a signal booster?

Not really. Call your internet company and see if they have any suggestions. Or if you're near a BestBuy; they may have suggestions.

@Dookie-Possum you need to have wired connection, games these days aren't meant to be played on wifi. I'd suggust getting a very long ethernet cable or move your router.

@chucky97___ I agree and it's also your internet speed as well. I just upgraded it here in Las Vegas to Cox 2 gig internet speed and literally there is minimal latency and downloads are very very fast. I know for some games like call of duty latency is probably at on the meter 10 ms so it's very very very very fast in games well

When I was in this situation I got one of those WiFi extenders and plugged it in the same room as my console. My internet provider sold them so maybe yours does as well. I think you can get them off Amazon as well.

I would recommend the Netgear Powerline 1000 or 2000. it comes w 2 adapters plug 1 in behind your Xbox & the 2nd behind your router. Now its like you are hardlined in without having to run a cord all the way across your home
