Tmobile home internet problems
-
does anyone know why mlb the show does not work with tmobile home internet.
-
It did most of the year but the last couple months it doesn't. Weird

I found an answer to my problem in case someone has the same issue in the future. on my xbox series S, I switched the multiplayer connection off of auto position and then back to auto then reset the router and the game has worked fine ever since. Probably didnt need to reset the router but did anyway.

The show just hates T-Mobile

Are you using your cell phone as a hotspot? If so that is why.

@ChuckCLC
I haven’t played in at least a few months online. And I just purchased PlayStation plus again so I could play online and I’m having an issue when I match up with someone in online ranked it never gets to the lineup screen I get an error message before we connect. And I’ve had T-Mobile HOME INTERNET all season long and like you said it worked at the beginning of the year for sure and I haven’t played for at least three or four months but now it’s doing it every single time no matter what. do you know if there is a fix? And if not do you know how to get my PlayStation plus purchase refunded? The only reason I bought it was to play MLB the show online and if it’s not gonna work I want my money back -
I would start by calling T-Mobile and have them walk you through your settings to see if it's something with their setup and if it isn't them, next step is PSN support and do the same thing. It's most likely something in DNS or proxy or other settings thats bugging out your connection. The little things we don't normally check

Works here

Has anyone found the solution to this??? Tmobile keeps telling me to call the developer of the game.

I am having issues with loading into an online game in mlb. I have tried everything from resetting my router to restarting my console to disconnecting and reconnecting to the internet, the only thing I haven’t tried is uninstalling and reinstalling the game. I loaded a head to head game in madden and had no issues

Okay, its not certain but after days and days of research the one thing that seems to have worked.. and now this could be just a lucky go at it but I went into my tmobile router app or whatever. I went ahead and switched the security from WPA2/WPA3 to just WPA2 so far its working.. I do use tmobile home internet. so hoping this actually is a work around..

I have the same problem, finds opponent then doesnt connect. TMobile doesnt care and SDS doesnt seem to care either. And im willing to bet its more of an SDS problem because I have zero other connection issues for any game on my PS5 or PC. Guess I wont be purchasing MLB 24 since it will probably have the same issue and nobody at SDS wants to help their customers play the game they paid for

2500 views on this thread and SDS refuses to respond or provide any helpful feedback to anyone who has contacted them about this issue

Wifi or connected with an ethernet cable? And what's the speed?
-
@x814xmafia All that is irrelevant. This is for T-Mobile Home Internet. A known issue occurs when trying to play H2H. Everything else works fine.
-
because it only costs $30 at tmobile

Sadly this is not a full-proof solution. My security settinh I'd already WPA2.
Question: Is this happened across the board or for folks that have 5g internet (the black box). I have 5g.
The biggest frustration is that this is the ONLY game that I have issues with.
-
@DaboiNoah What does the price of it matter? I have faster download speed and its more reliable than when I had Cox internet. Literally the only issue I've ever had with T-Mobile home internet is with this game. It's an SDS problem and they refuse to even acknowledge that there's a problem here even though many people have posted it for months now. As stated by users in this thread and other threads, its an issue with ONLY this game. Madden ,2k, call of duty, many different PC games all work fine. Its ONLY when connecting to an online opponent in Diamond Dynasty that it drops the connection

@T00MuchHam Arent they all 5g? My box is the grey cylinder one (Nokia 5G21 gateway) and doesnt work. Pretty sure it doesnt matter which one it is. This is the only game that doesnt work for me also. SDS support doesnt help at all, I contacted them previously about it and they just gave some BS answer about NAT type and firewall. Crazy how they are trying to deflect blame away when they are the only game that's not working.

@Dankmaymays
TMHI is a Fixed Wireless Access (FWA) service which does not use local addressing for external IPs.... Basically, it does not use NAT (Open (Type 1), Moderate (Type 2), Strict (Type 3)) and does not allow you to port forward.
