I've never

I've never see a community like mlb constantly complain as much as this one does every single year. On top of that the feel sorry for myself type people in this game is so bad. I get you work, I work, but constantly saying "Does sds not know people have familys and jobs, I cant grind for this card" then dont? Spend time for your family and enjoy the game when you are able.
Also, ranked rewards, ranked rewards use to be sick, why aren't, they stacked now? Because they use to be hard to obtain, making WS meant something, now you just play through program because people complained it was to hard and not fair. This years game gets far to much hate, sets werent that bad, we act like it was a cruel punishment to grind a video game, want punishment go roll sod for 8 hours and tell me what you'd rather do on a hot summer day. Point is, the complaining is unreal at this point.

@BxnnyMxn_ I am complaining about complaining because everyone else gets to complain so i am voicing my complaint too not just complain but orgnise the complaining.
-
People complain because they care. If they were apathetic then they would not even bother.
-
@Dolenz I get the complaints, but realize the complaints only make the game get dumbed down even more, there is reason to complain at times, but there some that no matter what mlb does its not enough.

In my 4 years hanging out in the DD thread, I would agree that the complaints have hit a fever pitch (I'm patting myself on the back for that fantastic baseball reference).
I used to enjoy the forum so much more. There are still some good members out here, but I remember things being much more... fun? IDK.
I'm curious to see how SDS approaches 2024. It's much more fun to see "Ross and Rachel" jokes, right @Ericulous1_PSN ?
-
@arvcpa That's my point its reached a point where people are complaining about things that dont even matter.
-
We are in a world of complainers now .
-
@jaychvz If you have the opportunity to play video games, your life is pretty good. People forget these things.

Well, I don't know what you mean by dumbed down. I'm very leery to use that term because you're simply insulting someone for not enjoying the game the same way you or I do.
But you are right that there are some that are just never satisfied.
-
'23 was significantly worse than previous versions. Of course there's a lot of complaining.
-
@Dolenz dumbing soemthing down is a simple term, by doing this it effects the community, why are better cards in packs now, it use to be choice packs, chase pack cards are a thing because every other high tier card is obtainable for free.

I'll take 23 over 18 every day of the week.
I'll be honest, I don't know how you all can differentiate and remember the content from year to year so well. Since 18 (which I quit playing in May of that year) all of the other years just kind of merge together in my mind.
-
@Skarmaen mlb 21 the game would freeze on a grounball hit to second base.

@jaychvz
So we should just all just shut up and take it? People complain because the content this year was a muddling ca$h grab. The WS/BR rewards used to be the best cards, now those cards are put behind a paywall in Chase packs... which btw have an expiration date. There is no incentive this year to parallel or invest in a card, or theme team, because of the expiring card format. We have several versions of the same card, to mindlessly grind or pay for...again and again. -
MLBTS Player: "Let me guess, same old Cut and Paste as last year?
SDS: Changes the format of how the game plays.
MLBTS Player: "No, I want it to be like last year!" -
@xElRojo44x BR/WS rewards were better without the program being added. Going 12-0 or Making 900 should be the only way you get the card.
-
@xElRojo44x
idk , I somehow found a way to enjoy this game , I have over 20 parallel 5 cards , I have a winning record using mostly Angels theme team . I have all the cards that I want (angels).
I couldn't care less about the"best" cards if they are not on the Angels.
I do complain sometimes, because nothing is perfect, but what I don't do is accuse SDS of being greedy or they don't care because I don't know what they deal with trying to create content or get likeness rights for players .
I suggest things , but I try not to be vicious in my complaints or suggestions.
This game frustrates me , but guess what , real baseball is frustrating too. Just this Sunday I got called out on strikes on a ball that almost hit me . -
I think folks complain a lot about this game because the game has frustrating outcomes built into it.
It’s engineered to simulate a sport that is practically based on failure.
In order to achieve a sense of “realism”, the game is constantly modifying our inputs and varying parameters.
