Looks like Oakland is pushing to keep the A's branding. And be a top contender when any other relocation or expansion comes up.
Vegas technically already have the A's. The Aces of the WNBA, so they should get a new name. The Vegas '777's' or something wacky like that.
The Athletics's website says they are keeping the Athletics's brand.

The should be called the Moe ‘Greens‘ (Greenes)

On the A’s website, it is states they are working with MLB for an interim location after 2024. They may even get an extension on their Oakland lease. I can’t imagine anyone wanting to go to their games in Oakland knowing they are gone, gone, gone.
Their attendance is going to be cut in half. Down 12 fans per game years over year

No kidding! Who will buy season tickets for a team that is leaving the city? Why even invest anything in them? The only people I can see attending games are fans rooting for the other team.
Now, if they had moved to a city closer to Oakland, like Sacramento, then I can see the new fan base seeing them in their old digs before they move. There is a vested interest there. They could even have changed to the California A's since the Angels abandoned that moniker for one that doesn't belong in front of their name.

Los Angeles literally means City of Angels, it belongs in front of their name more than California or Anaheim

Wrong. It means The Angels. When you say The City of Los Angeles, then you are saying the City of the Angels (Spanish to English). But, when referring to the team's location ID moniker, they are not in the city of Los Angeles, the county of Los Angeles, or the area of Los Angeles. We might as well call the Dodgers the Brooklyn Dodgers because that is where they originated. It makes no sense. The only reason they changed it to Los Angeles was for marketing purposes.
They could always move back to Los Angeles and play in the Coliseum like they used to...then I wouldn't gripe about it.

@St-Assassin8577
I think the strippers would make the fans appreciate their mascot more.

@Blind_Bleeder
I hate it, but I think the rough translation is "The the Angels Angels of city of Angels." Being from Orange County, I miss the old Anaheim Angels moniker.

Actually, the rough translation is The Angels Angels (and not The Angel's Angels because that would be Los Ángeles del Ángel). There is no mention of the City in their name. I miss the California Angels...both the players and the team name. I was four years old when the team changed from the Los Angeles Angels to the California Angels and five when they moved to Anaheim. They didn't change to the Anaheim Angels until 1997 (when my kids were 7 years old). So, it's the California Angels in my mind and heart - both the players and the team name.
The worst stretch was when Disney bought them...that was an awful period...

LOL. Anaheim is literally City of Saint Anne, Grandmother of Jesus and patron saint to mothers, blah, blah, blah. I had an old mexican woman tell me it meant city of angels. She probably pulled it out of her patootie, but I like the thought. That's why I said rough.
Graduated from ETHS in 1994 with that LA suburb inferiority complex. Anaheim Angels felt more home town to me than either CA or LA.
Hey, I haven't seen Bobloblaw post anything in forever.

I went to Vegas in May and went to two Aviator games. It was an AMAZING experience! The ball park is nice and easy to get in and out of!

I liked when they were the Los Angeles Angels of Anaheim, that was 2005-2015 and so wordy. Anaheim Angels is the most logical but as a kid they were California Angels so that feels natural but I call them Anaheim when I talk about them to my friends or the Angels.

I didn't know they changed it, again. Nice to be told by a Dodger fan. Wish they'd stop changing it (after they add Anaheim back)
