Both sets are great, except for Trout. I absolutely can't hit with any Trout card. I have 4 or 5 hits in 30 at bats with him.
I have said the same thing in the past but in the Showdown I had him batting leadoff and I think he had 3 leadoff homers. Two of those were enough to win those rounds and the last one was a grand slam when you start out down by 4 with the bases loaded.

Don Mattingly, all he does is hit home runs.
My 5 favorite new cards for the AL East
Don Mattingly (home run machine)
Reggie Jackson (worth every stub, his swing his just money)
Raffael Devers (this card is a monster)
Mike Zunino (loving this card, and i can't help but like his walkup music and i don't normally like country)
Aaron Judge (shocker, i can actually hit home runs with this card) -

I came across an AJ Pollock 2021 postseason card in my inventory while I was trying to equip a new team for the new season and I know I’ve not had it long but am too lazy to look and see how I acquired it but I’m assuming it was recently since it allowed me to use it…….nothing but missiles have come from his bat it’s one of the funnest swings I’ve personally used in quite a while

In my opinion yes, plus he's free.

He's from the post season Mini Seasons, that was a great way to get vouchers for the post season program.

All I do is hit homers with Francisco Alvarez
I was rolling Heim. I'm getting the Alvarez now! So far I'm terrible with the new Lindor

I like the new Alvarez too and he does hit some serious bombs. I keep waiting and hoping that I can have someone with good speed try and run on his arm so I can try that out but it’s not happened yet. I was also taken aback by how imposing he looks from the strike zone high batting view that I use. His back and shoulders resemble those of a rather menacing silverback gorilla and it was with this card only that I also thought i experienced hearing that much louder crack of the bat that was mentioned however when I used many of the other new cards in the NL showdown I didn’t notice it at all with any of them but I’m nearly positive I heard it with Alvarez
ps sorry so short on punctuation lol sometimes for whatever reason I get a much different looking onscreen keyboard when using this app

When I get hits, they are almost all extra bases, but they are too far in between. When I finished the AL West TA, he had 8 hits in 37 AB's. 4 HR's, 1 triple, 2 doubles and a single.

Do we think Mantle will get a Finest card throughout Set 5 or will his Chase Pack card from Set 2 be it?
-
@BeetleCoyote832
Probably it, but who knows. Need an amazing Willie Mays 99 and better Lou Gehrig card first.

@virusts For sure. I was just curious if other guys thought Mantle would get another card. I saw his Chase Pack card was around 300k and was going to buy it if that was going to be his only 99.

Who knows anymore. There are a bunch of guys that got 99s way earlier and not again and some recent that just ended, while there are those who have multiple 99s currently eligible.
Should they release ones that aren't currently eligible or haven't gotten in a few seasons- most definitely, but will they???
