    Not enough and I refuse to sell my other kidney. Which is what I’d need to do in order to buy to remaining cards I’m missing. 🤬

    Either cash or tied up in investments.

    SDS have clearly gone down the play to win this year even more. Cards are either a grind or you have to pay big bucks for the chase or event rewards.

    I have. Yes. 170 duplicate 99 moose’s I am planning on keeping until set 5 to try and make 2m over it.

    I didn’t get my stubs from grinding or my credit card. Just luck. Pulled Trout a few weeks ago. Then Randy two days later. Sold then both. Bought Elly and then just starting buying Moose at 10k whenever I could. Mainly so I don’t waste it. But happy to wait a bit for 10% ROI.

    What about you

    Moose?

    Moustakis

    The Prime one? Why that one? They're giving those packs away like candy.

    What about you

    I haven't been flipping this year. I do hold some "investments", primarily BR Core cards. I have 600k in stubs and about 2m in dupes. I was lucky enough to pull mega-Trout during the last flash sale. I don't have every card as I did the last two game cycles, but can't think of any cards I'd really like to buy.

    I haven't spent any $$$ on stubs. Just $99 for the game. As many of the thousands of friends I've made on this Forum know, I am extremely wealthy and could simply buy every card, but where's the fun in that? I choose to spend my hard earned money on fine wines, leather bound books, and tickets to U2 at the Sphere. Oh, and Game Pass.

    You may want to dump those BR Core Cards sooner than later. Chances are they'll put them in Rewind Packs during the last few BR Programs.

    Ok, I’ll go. I have about a million stubs from playing the game and flipping.

    My investments? (No laughing)…

    I have 2 Ripken captains I bought during the captain flash sale and 100 jimmy Cordero I bought for 25 stubs when he was suspended.

    Waiting for Ripken to get back to where he was earlier in the year. And for all the Cordero cards out there to dry up.

    I don't think Ripken gets much higher. He's a Set 2 card; so he can't be used unless as a WC and there are better ones to be used in that spot. Plus when he can be used regularly; SDS will probably drop more packs, with him in them, for late arrivals like they've done in the past.

    I'm confused on Cordero? He's a Free Agent Bronze. Why would anyone pay more that 25 stuns for him?

    I’m hoping that when all cards are eligible, Ripken Captain goes back up. Of course, as you point out, if another flash sale, his price will be toast.

    Cordero has been pulled from the game. If you are a “completion-ist”, there are only so many of them left. Admittedly, a gamble. I didn’t realize there’s a ceiling on what he could be listed for, won’t make that mistake again. 😂

    Considering he’s likely never being put back on the Yankees 40 man I’d say nobody will pay even 25 stubs for him.

    @X-FREEZE-OFF-X I've been slowly selling them off. I'm still holding out for one more "Core" collections, but I'm guessing I'll be disappointed.

    I think they’re kind of worthless now so I’m holding on to them to exchange them in TA5.

    @fubar2k7 I did buy a bunch of the Diamond 89's at QS, and most are at least double that. I'm slowly selling them off, but still holding out hope for a Core collection.

    I have 1.2 million right with probably a million sitting behind cards I haven't sold yet. I dont invest or spend any time in the market. Ill probably buy the next two Chase cards and thats it. I plan on set 6 program season to give so many cards and open up all the sets to easy to get and make all cards cheap or easier to get such as the older BR cards.

    @X-FREEZE-OFF-X

    Yeah the 99

    Because he is cheap. I can buy him at 10k so absolutely no risk.

    Even now if I sold all 169 I would make 6% on it.

    I’m gonna hold off for a week or two anyway as there isn’t anyone I really want to buy.

    I have a little over 3M thanks to the luckiest pull of my life yesterday (Milestone Mike Trout!).
    Saving them for Brett and Rollins which I just know are going to be either a BR or WS reward.

    Please don't do this to yourself. There is currently a flood of Diamond Duos cards selling for 10,000-10,250 or similar near-quicksale value -- you can load up on these because they're all going to go up to 15k plus very soon (most are already selling for 13000 or more, which is more than Moose), as soon as most people get done with the Trick/Treat programs and postseason programs.

    As long as the Showdowns are still available, those Moose cards won't go over 12k. But what you CANNOT do is just run through a showdown, over and over and over again, and get guaranteed Diamond Duos like 99 Morneau, Larkin, Sano, Stroman, etc.

    Unless of course you're only pretending to hoard Moose cards, in which case......hopefully I didn't spoil what you're actually doing!

    @HarryHardbody

    Haha. I have 173 of him now.

    Tbh I’m not hoping to make a big return. 10% will do me. Even now the return is 7.9%. Which doesn’t seem like a lot. But given the scale of the amount I have we are talking 135k just on the 7.9%. All risk free.

    This isn’t about the return so much. It’s that I know. If I have the stubs sitting there. I will spend them on chase packs. Especially after a few beers 🤣
