I can't believe it! Mike Mangini was the only one to replace Portnoy, the way Sammy Hagar was the only singer who could replace DLR in VH. It will be interesting to see how this unfolds.

I saw them live only once in 2002 at The Beacon Theater. They're my #2 band behind VH. They're just amazing, as I've been a fan since '92 or so.
I did see Mike play with The Winery Dogs at dj Eddie Trunk's 30th anniversary party. I wonder if they're done since Mike is back with DT.
