I think there was a pretty huge drop-off after Set 4 was revealed to be more of the same (with even worse card art).

I must’ve had the easiest matchmaking experience ever in events to get 12 wins. Many of them had losing records and my 11th and 12th won they could barely muster 2 runs

Don't you love those day's though? I have them, but not very often. Usually after 2 wins it's nothing but Goons and Gods. Always finish each event well under .500

That’s why I tell people that getting 12 wins is a lot of luck. I know that I have been to World Series and have a really good record but I am very inconsistent game to game. I’m no young buck so I am not going to put up tons of runs each game so I can go through spells not being able to hit all that well.

I’ve been playing since 21 (Xbox guy) and every year at the end of the baseball season, the only people left are God Squad tweakers. But it’s whatever. I’m a level 600 and played a 750 the other day. After the first inning I quit because everything was hit hard. I don’t play 29 hours a day and stream on twitch so my skills are definitely limited

I'd say very few folks play 29 hours a day. If I was feeling lucky I'd even bet that none do.

I once knew a guy who could do that in half a day .

i hover around a 650-700 in ranked and am relieved every time i lose and anxious every time i win

more wins means playing on HoF which i am god awful at

it's almost to the point where i am subconsciously throwing games so that i don't have to play on HoF

I used to be like that, but once you play enough games on HOF it becomes where HOF is where you want to play. I think it plays best at this difficulty. I was like a .200 hitter on HOF just over a year ago. It makes you so much of a better hitter when you play on All-star in BR and Events.

that's true, i just did a BR palette cleanser and got to 10 wins which has never happened before. was just raking.

think i should just power through on RS? tbh i know it sounds so vain but i just get embarrassed by my tanking batting average for my favorite players. was considering putting together a HoF only squad with guys i don't really care about lol

It think we are probably similar. I have made WS many times and have a good record, so average people probably would consider me a sweet , but like you I am not young and not going to make 1050 -1100 ratings. I have realized I can read pitches probably as well as almost anyone, but my PCI control is just not good enough to be with the super goons. I consistently overshoot that darn thing and just miss pitches that the great players do not.

I played a guy the other day who had the top 50 player multi times belt icon and I decided to play it out a bit just to see. Man, I could dot pitches and it didn’t matter, he could destroy almost anything. Very humbling. I just enjoy the challenge of getting better but understand I will never be the super goon

My experience is a little different, I can say I am very decent at controlling my pci and when I really want to sweat I won’t chase too many pitches. What kills if for me is how often good input gets punished and bad input gets rewarded. I could play at high elevation stadiums but I hate homeruns with 88mph EV

By the way, hope all is good with you buddy.

You're name reminded me of an Oreo Rockstar that used to post here. He was one of the better posters. Wonder what happened to him?

Same guy! I just switched to XBOX early on in MLB 22 and this was my XBOX username. I will send you a new friend request from the game as I know we were friends on PSN.

    Hope you have been well!

Some useless info….but the names stem from a couple of my beloved dogs that have now passed on….Oreo ( Thomas was his middle name) and Rockstar ( aka Rocky).

I understand what you are saying completely. In my last ranked game , I have up 2 runs, both on balls that were about 10 inches off the plate on either side on not good contact. I still won easily, but it has me shaking my head as it reminded me of some super close games I have lost with similar nonsense homers while I squares up about half a dozen balls for “Atem” or warning track outs.

Love to get a cO op game in some time before this game officially dies
