hand above their helmets
-
why do players put their hand above their helmets
-
Am I the only one who wonders what this is supposed to mean?
-
What do you mean?
-
A Player after grounding out or popping up will put his open hand above his head to symbolize something?
-
I never noticed. I’ll have to look for it now. No idea.

Frustration?

It's something they programmed in. It does it in 2021,22 and 23. Those are the 3 I have. Just has always made me wonder what the thought is. Never have I seen a Real MLB player do it?

The only time i've seen it in really life is if a player makes a riddiculus catch or takes a home run away, kind of like i can't believe that just happened, happens way to much in this game though.

I play ~8 games a day and literally didn’t even notice or just ignored it and he came on the forum to post about it.

I too have no idea what you are talking about. I dont think your are explaining well.

I know exactly what you mean!! I see it too. They put their hand over their helmet so that the palm in over the top and parallel to the helmet.
The other thing they do is after a strikeout they put their palm in from front of their face so that it is vertical to their face. Like a karate chop.
I’ve wondered about both of these.

I always considered this a "my bad, fellas" type of gesture. Sort of like raising your hand when you commit a penalty in football
-
Only time I see anything like this is in my franchise with the Dodgers when my players get doubles.
