You’ve got to be kidding me with this roster update. The Mariners have been one of the best teams in baseball this past month and yet all of their top players but JRod dropped. Logan Gilbert is 8-0 with a sub 3 ERA since the all star break and he dropped from an 84 to an 83. Andres Munoz won Reliever of the month and dropped from 83 to 80. Luis Castillo dropped as well.

I am not arguing that SDS doesn't do some questionable updates because they do but W-L records and ERA for pitchers are not reflected in any of the attribute ratings.

Yes but they have to get up at 4AM MST time to run their updates. So they have to go to sleep early.

It was easier than listing out all of his stats. Gilbert and Castillo have been two of the best pitchers in baseball the past month and they both dropped. And Munoz was reliever of the month but dropped 3 levels. That’s insane.

JRod went from 82 to 86 and the ratings are based on the last 3 weeks. How have they done since then?

JRod went from 82 to 86 and the ratings are based on the last 3 weeks. How have they done since then?
They had no choice but to raise JRod. He’s their lightning card for the month and he’s now 3rd best odds for AL MVP. Also I believe it’s been a month not 3 weeks since they waited an extra week. But As I said Munoz just won reliever of the month with 9 saves a 1.93 era and 20ks in 14 innings and he dropped from an 83 to an 80. Gilbert was 4-0 with a 2.98 era and great stats across the board yet dropped as well. At worst they should’ve stayed where they were at. In reality they bith probably should’ve moved up to diamonds. Dropping them is jsut insane.

Senga has a 3.08 era with 181 ks in 140 innings and didn’t move at all. 2.48/0.98 and 39ks in the last month. There’s like 7 total starters with a better era and they’re all diamond. Senga stayed at 80

He has the issue lots of other pitchers have had in the past and probably still do currently. He's being effective without having stellar attributes. His BB/9 rating in game especially is very bad. His K/9 rating is about average.
I have said it for years. SDS system of rating pitchers is unfair to guys who don't strike out a ton of batters. A few years ago Adam Wainwright was top 10 in the NL in the Cy Young voting and he was a silver all season until the final update of the regular season when he finally went gold. Why? Because he was effective by inducing soft contact instead of striking guys out.

Sonny Gray would like a word. He’s still a silver.
Not worth even trying to find rationale in the ratings, it’s just all meaningless.Gray doesn’t work very deeply into games nor does he have a great long term track history. I’m sure that might factor into his ratings. Senga is a rookie which probably contributes in his case. I’m sure this is why José Abreu never got a decline to his ratings although he has been utterly useless the entire season.

They decreased his H/9, K/9 and BB/9.
Looking at his Aug compared to July. His WHIP went from 1.13 to 1.41 (his highest monthly total all season). He struck out 1 fewer batter in August while pitching more more innings so his SO/9 went down.
