Was just thinking that. The last two years (I can’t speak to years prior to that) they were dropping card announcements a week in advance. We are 3 days out and all they’ve said was “season 4 is coming”. Then again, hype isn’t always a good thing. Anyone remember WCW- The Shockmaster?
I will resurrect my "where is the hype for Set 3" thread. @SaveFarris_PSN loved that one 🤪
I mean, what happened to the clues they would drop? It’s like they know they’ve lost half their player base and got rid of their summer Twitter interns

Agreed, 3 days to go and we have heard almost nothing out of SDS. Also not sure if i'm the only one but the market seems dead latley, could be that everyone has left.

Never seen the game and it’s a player pool this dead with 5 weeks left in regular season.
SDS has to own this as their own doing.
It’s a bummer.

I also think set 4 should be 30/35 days and not 50, thats start speeding these programs up a bit maybe that would help with the content intake as well.

The emoji is a classic camera with a flash so my best guess would be a flashback series and possibly like a specific moment for each card or something like that.

To teach everyone not to complain they’ll go with the Retro Series and everyone will be rated under 90 since 99s at launch triggered so many snowflakes.
That would be the best way to get a ton of people to quit for good this year.

I’d like to see them bring back evolution cards. Maybe even the entire live series. Make it like the parallel system. But if you want to make a common a diamond you have to grind the ever loving heck out of it.

Kirk Gibson- 88 HR trot
Tony Gwynn- maybe that slide into home to win the all Star game
Ozzie- the Flip (not to be confused with the Jeter flip)
Babe Ruth- Called ShotJust to name a few
It's just a guess. My other theory (before I saw the camera emoji) was - players that played for only 1 team, going on the theme of legends for ta4( matches with the timeframe of franchise legends from prior years) it would fit for a lot of teams,then they'd do a different series for the teams it dont work for.

That would be a cool series. Ripken, Gwynn, Jeter, Schmidt, Gehrig, Stan the Man, David Wright, Mauer, lots of good options

That would be a cool series. Ripken, Gwynn, Jeter, Schmidt, Gehrig, Stan the Man, David Wright, Mauer, lots of good options

Craig Nettles did the same in 78 against the Dodgers according to this great book I read ‘They Bled Blue’ about the 70s and early 80s Dodgers.
