Lance Berkman card

How come we can't ever get a Big Puma card? Please make it happen, SDS. Thanks.

Cardinals legend

As an Astros fan, I would even accept the card being a Cardinal. It wouldn't be ideal, but it would be better than no card.

Astros are the team I always will associate him with first as well.

I concur. Def need more of the Big Puma. Preferably in a Stros uniform, but I'll take whatevs. He made that great catch on Tal's Hill that's fun to watch!

I had forgotten that until I read this. What an epic moment that would be to play haha who hasn’t fallen going up a hill before?
Consequently, us East Tennesseans are quite used to playing on the sides of hills…all that’s needed is to simply develop one leg longer than the other OR only wear one shoe. Be warned though because if you combine this with four years abroad developing a good sea-walk and you might just end up like me, who resembles an employee at ‘The Ministry of Silly Walks’ -
Berkman is an Astros legend undoubtedly but he gets lost in the David Freese madness of Game 6. We down to our last out twice and he knocked in the tying run with two out in The bottom of the 10th. He saved our bacon too.

100%. He got his first ring and really shined with the Cards. SDS just needs to find a way to put him in the game.

Also, with the nickname stuff, it would have been a perfect introduction for his card.

Hope they make him a Cardinal, Dolenz have been posting about “not enough” cardinals for quite some time.

Only for his sake would I agree to this. Otherwise it’d be like having your best Joe Montana card being a KC Chief lol. I only recall Berkman having one season with the redbirds and while it was a phenomenal comeback type of season that we all love to see it was his last hurrah and didn’t even approach what he did as an Astro. I’m just saying.
Because I have such mad respect for what @Dolenz_PSN has to say combined with his repeated indictments which clearly indicate no love for his team I cannot help but pull for this as well but it ain’t gonna happen.
But it might lol

Don't get me wrong, I am not complaining that there have not been enough Cardinals released, just that I am not a fan at how they have been released. They were front-loaded. I actually do realize that there are plenty of teams that are far worse off than STL when it comes to card releases. <waves at KC>
Here is what I mean by frontloaded.
There were Five 99 overalls in Set 1
There were two 99 overalls in Set 2
There have been zero 99s in set 3.The season 3 eligible versions of Ozzie Smith, Jim Edmonds, Jordan Walker, Bob Gibson, Paul Goldschmidt, Tommy Edman, Adam Wainwright, and Tyler O'Neill are all lower rated than their Set 1 cards. Next season Stan Musial, Lars Nootbaar, Lou Brock, Ryan Helsley, Miles Mikolas, Dylan Carlson, Paul Dejong, Jack Flaherty, Wilson Contreras Mark McGwire and Paul Goldshmidt again (who will revert to live series) joins that list.
As mentioned in another topic, It hurts the motivation I have when I realize that my theme team probably peaked in season 2 and won't be that good again until Season 6.
That is not the same as complaining that there are not enough Cardinals. Shoot I was not even expecting the ones that appeared in the POTM program for July.
As far as Berkman is concerned, he was certainly clutch for the Cardinals in their 2011 season and their WS run that year but it would be hard to justify not making his card an Astro card.

I expect McGwire to get a new 99 that is more endgame, as for Berkman that would be a nice change if they make him a Cardinal this year.
