QS in a 3 inning game?

Just had July Capt Buehler pitch a complete game in conquest (3 innings). No walks or hits 5 Ks. Didn’t get a QS. Does any one know Is it possible to get a quality start in a 3 inning game?

You can't. a quality start is 6 innings(though I think you knew that).
it made me wonder why they included CQ and MS in the mission description when it's not possible. -
That is what confused me. Since that out in conquest and mini-season I thought it might be possible. Oh well. Thanks for confirming my hunch.

Quality start = 6 inning or more and 3 earned runs or less given up

This will be one of the missions I skip. There are few things I find less enjoyable than 9 inning games vs the cpu, more so with players cards I will never use again.

It's possible to throw 6 innings in Conquest/MS. It's just not likely or recommended.
With Ranked re-starting this Friday, I'll just get my quality starts in that way.

The only counter is after those 3 games all your stat missions are complete. So fairly efficient if not mind-numbing….

I get it. There are a lot of more efficient ways to do things than my methods, but I just can’t slog thru games on rookie scoring 40 runs or 9 innings verse the cpu where there is nothing I am working towards. Mini seasons, event games or conquest at least I feel like I am doing something.
But I am all for anyone doing what they enjoy.

I was just wondering this myself and you guys are being way to nice on them for this screw up. In the larger picture not a huge deal but this whole game has been a death by a thousand cuts. This game has nothing glaring wrong with it for most part but so many small little things that just keep this game as average to slightly above average.
slightly off topic but i think this game was supposed to be a current gen only game but cause of covid and such they let PS4 ( old gens ) have one more year. I think they have moved on to a next years game already that is why you see very little ... NM ... NO game balancing changes for the most part. They have prolly put 85% of the team on MLB show 24 current gen only release and just have enough to work on the content and small bugs and such.
Back on topic they either need to remove conquest / mini Season games from mission OR allow them with a fix but they will not so whatever ...

It's not. QS is 6 innings (1-6) and less than {edited} 3 earned runs or less allowed.
