First off... what's your favorite chain sub place? Jersey Mike's for me. #6, Mike's way.
I was standing in line waiting for my sub. The three guys behind the counter were chatting, and I thought I heard "The Show". I said "Are you guys talking about MLB the Show?" Turns out... yes.
So, we chatted for 15 minutes. One of the guys is a WS player who I've matched up with (I checked my game history, and yes, he beat me).
I'm sharing this as you guys "get it". I had the urge to mention it to my wife, and I know her response would be "Great - I'm glad you made friends with a bunch of 14-year-olds". For the record, wifey, they were all in their 20's. So... yeah.
I like to mix up my sandwich places. But Jersey Mike's is pretty good. I just don't get why all these places are now asking for tips.
It’s pretty simple really. Anyone making less than $25/hr is broke and these corporations won’t pay them a living wage so they hope you do it with tips.
I'm all for tipping at a server or a delivery driver. But it is silly now that almost every fast food place as the tip question when paying with debit/credit card. I am just not going to do it. Also I doubt the employees see 100% of those tips.
I agree it’s silly, I’m just letting you know why.

Jimmy johns- the veto. Hands down the best.
Firehouse subs has a great meattoo sub tho.
-
Jersey Mike's - Cold OG Italian, Mike's Way plus mayo and cherry pepper relish.
Firehouse - Hot Spicy Meatball with extra cheese.
-
I’m a vegetarian and the JM veggie sandwich is outstanding. Best veggie sandwich I’ve had. New girlf is a vegan, so… I may need to find a new sandwich place. No tofu. Good god no tofu.

Subway Tuna....that it all.
With please?
I used to love Subway. Before that a place called Blimpie. There's still one where I live in Manhattan. -
That’s awesome! We are a Jersey Mike’s family as well.
BTW, my brother and his family live in Pontevedra Beach. Always love to visit them.

I cannot even hear the word ‘sandwich’ without immediately thinking of the movie “Fallen” with Denzel and that guy who worked at the sandwich shop when he was hosting Azazel haha. Probably the best sandwich related line I’ve ever heard in a movie…..
“Do you know what you’d look like with a sandwich up your……..etc”
PS bet you remember that one @samguenther1987

I really used to love Quizno's but I dont think there are any around anymore. I do love Jersey Mike's, and I would like to try Jimmy John's also. Outside of that, there is a Subway basically on every corner so hey I eat them too.

Jersey Mike's. #13 the original. Maybe some Banana peppers in there depending on my mood. Wawa hoagie for lunch during work.

We have a few Quiznos here in Vancouver BC but they are rare, it's always a treat finding one of them. They were my favorite as well.

I've lived all over the country and lived off of subs going to college and as a single man. Great meal for people that get so busy they forget to eat. Not a problem I have anymore, my stomach wishes I still forgot to eat sometimes. Never had Jersey Mike's though. There's one half an hour south of me. I'll try it next time I'm there.
For me,
#1 Schlotzsky's Deluxe Original-Also called the Mufaletta. Chopped olives...mmm...and I believe they add crack to their bread, because I couldn't stop eating it.
#2 Togo's #9 or #10 Their hot pastrami is awesome on white, their Reuben is good too, but their rye was only ok.
#3 The Hat's Pastami dip. If in Orange County Ca. it's a must have. Get the Chili fries with pickles and tomato, surprisingly good. A little overpriced.
#4 Jimmy John's The giant one. Don't remember the name. It has everything, and delivery is great for working late.
#5 Firehouse's Everything. Never had a bad sub there, but nothing stood out. I Was only in Florida for a year. That was about 51 weeks too long. -

I am so incredibly sorry. Is life without cheese, a life worth living? Can't she just get extra peppers or bacon? Tell her it's vegan pig fat, she'll never want to go anywhere else.
In all seriousness, good for you. My cholesterol would like me to do that.

This truly needs to be corrected. If you lived a half hour from the Taj Mahal wouldn’t you drive over for a visit of course you would. Get you the biggest philly cheesesteak they have and make sure it’s covered with those heavenly sweet peppers they have and have em throw sone pepper Jack cheese on there. They used to have a deal where you buy two footers and get a third one free. I never told the wife about it instead would go there and come back with two. The third would be my appetizer before I got home. So tasty
