We are very aware of the impact it is having on the game, but it's a much more complicated issue that is beyond a simple fix. If it was as simple as preventing starters from being brought out of the bullpen, or removing secondary positions from the cards, we would have done that already.
Rest assured we're working to get it fixed.
Understand. However, these cards were removed from BR. Can they just be taken out of the game until a fix is done? Events are using LS Ohtani and I think 90/91 (can't remember which) Donaldson.
BR is a different animal because it uses a set pool of players and the teambuilding aspect is separate from the rest of DD.
The short answer is no, we can't just remove them from the game. Not only would it mess with set collection progress, but we're not going to take cards away from player inventories.
Imagine somebody goes to the market, picks up 99 John Donaldson, and then the card is removed from the game and their inventory. They may not even play online games. You can see how this creates more problems than it solves.
Thank you for the update. Overall, I think this year's game has been a huge improvement in gameplay. I assumed whatever the fix was it is pretty complex and that's why it is taking time. It's impossible to make all of the complainers on this forum happy but please know that there are plenty of people who do appreciate the improvements in this year's game over previous versions.
Who's complaining? This is a thread regarding a game breaking glitch. We are just having a civil conversation.
He should know that there are far more people who enjoy the game than the small group of people who complain on this forum year after year.
Can you back that claim up with data or a source who has that data? Because I think you're just going off of your own sentiment and perhaps the small circle around you who also play this game.
Honestly my only response to this question is "wow"
Because you don't have it and we both know it. You're just talking.
You’re looking for specific data to measure how much enjoyment individuals are getting from a video game?
Yes, or in other more normal terms "customer satisfaction ratings". You're the one making the claim that "there are far more people enjoying the game than the small group of people who complain", so me trying to take you seriously expected that you'd have some sort of insight to back that up. But I guess you don't.
I would think common sense would just have to kick in at some point. This forum represents a pretty small percentage of the overall player base. Of the forum the complaints seem to come from many of the same people over and over. So in relation to the overall player base it’s safe to conclude that the people who regularly complain here is a pretty small number. Considering Sony releases the game each year it seems a safe bet that there are a lot of people who enjoy the game. Otherwise they would kill the title.

I thought you would know this, given the fact that you're comfortable making statements about how the majority of this community feels about the game. I guess my point is that you're talking out of line, you don't actually know how the majority feels about this game. Please feel free to correct me with something else than just talk.

Ok the correction would be that if you reread my original post you would see that the the complainers I was referencing were from this forum. So again I believe my assumptions on Sonys understanding of profit and loss would still hold.

But I'm not talking about just this forum. There's many platforms where parts of this community are represented, like Reddit, Twitter, Facebook groups and so on.
You haven't the slightest idea about the total population of this forum, let alone their opinions or attitudes towards certain topics. I don't see why you can not just admit that. I am happy for you that you do enjoy what is being presented to you, but speak for yourself next time and leave it at that.
Buddy I’m sure there are people in the world who value your opinions and input but I’m just not going to be one of them. I hope you can find some enjoyment playing the game when they get this fixed or otherwise find something else you do enjoy.
Wrong again, see I am not making assumptions because I don't have the arrogance to speak on behalf of a community. I speak for myself and vent my opinions, people either agree or disagree that's perfectly fine.
Ha ha again just wow.
That's what people tend to say when they ran out of comebacks. You have a good one tho. Buddy.

But I'm not talking about just this forum. There's many platforms where parts of this community are represented, like Reddit, Twitter, Facebook groups and so on.
Buddy.
Ok i ll play along one more time. Your original comment was an assumption of what my intentions were with my comment while you claim to only speak for yourself. Again, I really do hope you can find some enjoyment playing the game this year because I sure am.
I don't give two cents about what your intentions were or are, you made a statement that you can’t back up and I called you out for it. Instead of just owning it you keep trying to defend, explain or divert. It doesn't work. You're full of sh*t. Period.
Ok to use your "logic" would you say the number of unique people on this forum who voice complaints on average of once per day is larger than the number of people around the world who derive enjoyment from this game?
I have no idea, that's why I asked you since you seem to be informed on the matter.
I don't need hard data points. You just wrote that you vent your opinions. Just curious which number you think is larger. To be clear I never stated I was overly informed on the matter. I simply responded to cbrev that there are plenty of people who enjoy the game. Plenty is a pretty subjective word. I never claimed to speak for a community of some sort. I'm just comfortable in the knowledge that if the demand wasn't there, SDS would not keep putting a game out each year.

Unlike you, I don't tend to speak about subjects I don't have enough knowledge on. All I know is that I am unhappy and the people I associate with are unhappy as well. Does that mean the majority of this community is therefore unhappy about this game? Clearly not. Does that mean the majority is happy then? I don't know. But you do apparently.
