We are very aware of the impact it is having on the game, but it's a much more complicated issue that is beyond a simple fix. If it was as simple as preventing starters from being brought out of the bullpen, or removing secondary positions from the cards, we would have done that already.
Rest assured we're working to get it fixed.
Understand. However, these cards were removed from BR. Can they just be taken out of the game until a fix is done? Events are using LS Ohtani and I think 90/91 (can't remember which) Donaldson.
BR is a different animal because it uses a set pool of players and the teambuilding aspect is separate from the rest of DD.
The short answer is no, we can't just remove them from the game. Not only would it mess with set collection progress, but we're not going to take cards away from player inventories.
Imagine somebody goes to the market, picks up 99 John Donaldson, and then the card is removed from the game and their inventory. They may not even play online games. You can see how this creates more problems than it solves.
Thank you for the update. Overall, I think this year's game has been a huge improvement in gameplay. I assumed whatever the fix was it is pretty complex and that's why it is taking time. It's impossible to make all of the complainers on this forum happy but please know that there are plenty of people who do appreciate the improvements in this year's game over previous versions.
Who's complaining? This is a thread regarding a game breaking glitch. We are just having a civil conversation.
He just wanted to use the opportunity to kiss some behind, shouldn't read into it too much
Ahh yes someone enjoys the game is kissing behind says the dude who lives in here but doesn’t own the game

You got me big guy. Every time I kiss Cbrevs behind, SDS sends me a nice big fruit basket. I'm running low on strawberries, so I figured it was a good time to chime in and get a refill.

If you read what I actually wrote, you will see that I referenced the forum in general not this specific thread when I wrote about complainers. I also acknowledged that reasonable people understand that clearly this is a more complex problem than just take these cards out of the game. Finally, I've seen a few of Cbrevs videos and he seems like a normal decent guy. He should know that there are far more people who enjoy the game than the small group of people who complain on this forum year after year.

Can you back that claim up with data or a source who has that data? Because I think you're just going off of your own sentiment and perhaps the small circle around you who also play this game.

Yes, or in other more normal terms "customer satisfaction ratings". What bothers me is SDS doesnt fix a problem, they tell you all will be well, or working as intended. 3 major issues this year and they have been a problem since day 1 and no fix. Its borderline laziness, and really becoming more and more unacceptable.
-
as outlined in this thread. This has been a problem since Set 1 Shohei. its just more out of control now as everyone has John Donaldson, and Lightning Ohtani. Its always been there, SDS knew it, they just ignored it. Then made it worse by adding in more 2 way player cards.
-
Pinpoint. I mean its and a known issue, to the point where players are going back to 2020 and using analog as way too many perfect pin point pitches just trail randomly down the middle of the plate. Again SDS knows it, but hasn't updated they are doing anything about it.
-
and the most hilarious point. The Summer Tournament. Seriously? who won? there are problems putting it together yet i see the Tampa Bay Rays putting together a tournament...so they can but SDS can't figure out what they are doing?
Instead of going on a stream and laughing like Rory does "hehe, this event wont have 99 pitchers to avoid a couple pitchers people are tired of seeing." you didnt fix the problem you pushed it aside. Its not funny to us. Its annoying, and like last year when this idiot sat in his chair on a stream and trolled the community dressed as one of us, thinking he was funny its not. Its getting old. Madden sucks, but at least their community knows what they are getting. the Show community doesnt. Fix your issues, stop making excuses, stop telling us its all rainbows and butterflies. I'm not leaving, i love baseball too much, and there are more players out there like me then there aren't. Has SDS noticed the amount of content being put out by content creators is way down too? Then they ban one content creator for saying something bad about Ashly on one of his streams. Really? So you banned him for saying something he admits was stupid. But it was on his stream, during his time, but you continure to let people exploit glitches in your game? I'm confused. Bottomline do better SDS, fire Rory, and lets get this up and going again. Otherwise, if another game wants to compete they will win.

I would think common sense would just have to kick in at some point. This forum represents a pretty small percentage of the overall player base. Of the forum the complaints seem to come from many of the same people over and over. So in relation to the overall player base it’s safe to conclude that the people who regularly complain here is a pretty small number. Considering Sony releases the game each year it seems a safe bet that there are a lot of people who enjoy the game. Otherwise they would kill the title.

He should know that there are far more people who enjoy the game than the small group of people who complain on this forum year after year.
Can you back that claim up with data or a source who has that data? Because I think you're just going off of your own sentiment and perhaps the small circle around you who also play this game.
Honestly my only response to this question is "wow"
Because you don't have it and we both know it. You're just talking.
You’re looking for specific data to measure how much enjoyment individuals are getting from a video game?
Yes, or in other more normal terms "customer satisfaction ratings". You're the one making the claim that "there are far more people enjoying the game than the small group of people who complain", so me trying to take you seriously expected that you'd have some sort of insight to back that up. But I guess you don't.
But I'm not talking about just this forum. There's many platforms where parts of this community are represented, like Reddit, Twitter, Facebook groups and so on. I thought you would know this, given the fact that you're comfortable making statements about how the majority of this community feels about the game. I guess my point is that you're talking out of line, you don't actually know how the majority feels about this game. Please feel free to correct me with something else than just talk.

Ok the correction would be that if you reread my original post you would see that the the complainers I was referencing were from this forum. So again I believe my assumptions on Sonys understanding of profit and loss would still hold.

Wrong again, see I am not making assumptions because I don't have the arrogance to speak on behalf of a community. I speak for myself and vent my opinions, people either agree or disagree that's perfectly fine.
