It matters because this is a “ranked” mode and yet settings are not the same across the board. Not to mention you get more rank points for using the better teams
Nothing I can change about that situation. Btw, what settings do you find to provide the most competitive, fun games for a person not worried about stroking the ole epeen and just looking for a good time?
If you want realistic baseball I’d say HOF hitting and pitching or legend pitching and HOF hitting.

It matters because there’s only one leaderboard. You don’t get rewarded for playing on tougher settings so the top ranked guys you see playing rookie rookie are just beating up on newbs or people who aren’t in their real skill range.
Online Rated should be All star across the board at minimum to me personally. Either that or have separate leaderboards so players can’t abuse the game to climb the ranks.
And what do you get for this? There is some sort of prize at the end? Also idgaf, just wondering in the thousands of online rated games you have played, which mode do you find plays the best and doesn't feel crappy. I don't like striking a guy out 20 times as much as he doesn't like it.
I mean…what prize do DD players get for their wins with their arcade super teams? Most players wanna be on top of their respective leaderboards that’s why people play RANKED games.
I get it man, btw where is this leaderboard you guys talk about? I've looked for it and don't find it anywhere in the game. I have no clue what DD players get for being at the top of the leaderboard, I assume it's nothing. In my situation, I am locked out of DD because of bad support by sds(also why I have been more active in forum than usual) I came over to play my favorite game on a different mode which I am enjoying. By choosing online RATED games, I in know way thought I would be facing folks trying to cheese their way up some leaderboard. You see, when you scroll over the online RATED option it says, "Test your skills in a competitive online exhibition match." You must be thinking of online RANKED which is a DD mode where cheesy mofos scratch that epeen itch daily. I would guess that them calling it online RATED and their description of it is why they give people the option to choose specific settings and not have a more competitive environment. Hell, I still haven't found the leaderboard.

Yeah I’m TheWooderBoy_ I changed my PSN name but it didn’t update on the leaderboard.

8 game win streak got me from 93 up to 76, followed by 1 loss (to the Braves and strider, what a shock) and now I’m down to 99.

Another 6 game win streak gets me from 91 to 79 then 2 losses drops me allllll the way back to 120 lol it’s seriously so comical how [censored] their rating system is. How does it take 6 wins to jump 12 spots but 2 losses and you drop 41?!

I see that now, they def need one setting for everyone to play on for ranked(rated). IDC what it is but it should be same across board for everyone. Why have exhibition mode and then have ranked(rated) be the same?

Another question, who do you use as a fifth starter. The only ones viable right now to me are Matt Waldron and Grayson Rodriguez. Interested if you use others and thanks for any insights.

I don’t even care about the settings right now I’m just so confused on how they decide the ratings points for wins and losses. I won 40+ straight games and jumped up from 80’s to 30’s but 2 losses can drop you 40 spots in one shot is a joke and makes zero sense.
Basically you get nothing for winnings games but penalized by death for losses.

Wow can’t believe I’m ahead of you on the leaderboards now. I’m 394-95. Goal for me is to win 400gms before I lose 100. Currently sitting at top 89.
