Per OptaSTATS, Ohtani has hit as many homers in the seventh inning or later over his past 28 games (12) as any other MLB player has hit total during that time (since June 12). That's the most home runs in the seventh inning or later over a span of 28 games in MLB history.

I don't have a MLB team I really pull for, but I'm on the east coast so all I want is for Ohtani to go to my coast ASAP.

But how many has he hit in the top of the 3rd with a man on 1st, 1 out, 2-2 count, a left handed pitcher, a switch hitter on deck, and a gold glove defender in the hole?

That, is the true mark of a generational hitter!

Haha I had overlooked this stat! In all seriousness I bet there’s an analyst with the Dodgers that could tell you this instantly! I saw the other day that they’ve had a relationship with him since he played HS ball

I’m listening to the Angels vs tigers and shohei is working on a complete game shutout one hitter…he’s almost there!

Ps he got it…first complete game shutout for Ohtani…a one hitter not too shabby
