Brand new stadium now a template

I spent 10 hours building a stadium yesterday, I go in and make one minor change, hit save and go to mess around with home run derby, now the stadium I spent all day making is a template stadium???? Even though the picture of the save file is the stadium I had built? What gives? How do I get it back without having to sit here all day remaking it????

As long as the save file shows the picture of your stadium in the menu, upload it to the vault and then download it from the vault. I’ve had to do this to a few of my stadiums this year. But it gets the stadium back every time.

You can upload. I have the seen the error that says upload failed and it tells to you to reconnect or whatever. What I found out was my stadium uploaded anyway.

I have to say that the whole upload/download requirement is weird. I understand that it has to be uploaded if you want to use it in ranked or online modes but the current implementation is just dumb in my opinion.
As an example, I thought that I would download Costco Headquarters Park to use while grinding. I searched for the file. There are thousands of them in the vault? Why? If I download it and make no changes whatsoever then why do I need to upload it yet again, adding to the bloat in the Stadium Vault?
It seems so convoluted and unnecessary.
