Can I get a little friendly advice here from my fav community of gamers

I’ve got three video games for ps5 that I’ve still not played, which is due to me choosing to play this game here when I have the time. I looked today and see that I’m right at the 100 hour mark which may explain why it’s been feeling a little stale to me lately. I was thinking I might take a few weeks off and try one of these other games out before a sequel gets made.
- God of War Ragnarok
- Elden Ring
- Newest Ratchet and Clank installment
I really cannot decide they all look very fun so will anyone who has played one or all of these mind giving your input? I’d appreciate it. My biggest concern is that I watch at least one MLB game every evening and the daily recap every morning as soon as I wake…it’s hard not to want to fire up the show after those but I’ve been finding that, despite giving myself an hour most weeknights to play, I’ve been shutting it off after about 20min here lately and I can only think it’s because I might be getting a little burned out.
I just thought I’d try the “absence makes the heart grow fonder” type of approach and see if it helps me to rekindle my hunger to play. Just a few weeks. Any suggestions on the three titles that I have?
PS these three are my only unplayed titles and since I bought them I know I should at least try to play them

I give the nod to God Of War. Elden Ring is extremely well regarded but I prefer a little more story to these types of games. Neither of these are short games though so be prepared.
I have not played the newest R&C game, or actually any of them for that matter so I have no opinion.

I guess I should’ve mentioned that I personally have only ever played Red Dead 2 and TheShow. I did get 100% completion on that one but not the platinum trophy as it required online play which doesn’t appeal to me. The kids have a bunch of titles they play on there that I could also try but these three were gifted to me so I’ve been wanting to try one of them.
The God of War one had the coolest looking picture on the cover (remember when that’s all we had to go by haha) so that one has my vote too. I believe I’ll take your advice and do that one. Thank you! -
None of the 3
Play FIFA online.
More fun imo.

No I’ve not but it’s on here my seventeen year old son plays it some time. I’ve never really paid any attention to it. Do you recommend it over the other three that I listed? I really wanted to play one of these that the wife got me she’s made a fuss about it that I never played the ones she bought me because of always playing this game here haha
Actually I never thought about playing Red Dead through again that sounds like some real fun there and I ain’t kidding either that’s never dawned on me

I haven’t played them but I did get God of War (the original not Ragnarock) free with PS Plus just haven’t gotten around to it. I asked about GTA V because it’s the same company as RDR2 and the amount of stuff you do in the story is incredible. I was also about the start that over since I purchased it again on the PS5 so I can see the upgraded version and give myself something else to play occasionally.
RDR2 the second time has been fun. I took my time and plan to get the 100% once I actually get around to finishing it that is.

I’ll admit something - I was given this pdf guide to the game that was incredibly comprehensive and I would’ve NEVER gotten even remotely close without it. It still took me close to a zillion hours to pull it off but it was totally an enjoyable, great experience and I think I’d love to do it again. I’m gonna. I still got the file around here somewhere if you’d like it

I just picked up a Series X to go along with my Playstation 5. The last few days I have spent hours flying different legs of Bush Trips in the Alaskan Peninsula.

Is this something you can do in GTA? I gotta admit, coming from a Redbird, I thought you might have meant “Busch” trips haha

I was also a big RDR2 guy and pretty much this game. I got God Of War Ragnarok with my latest P5 and loved it. That said I pretty much stopped playing since TS 23 has came out. But it is fun. I am also a retro Zelda, Final Fantasy type fan.

Oh I LIKE you! I started to fire it up last
night before I read the thread saying hardly anyone had completed the Negro League moments so I gave it another crack instead. The long windups omg they’re so cool to watch in person but the anticipation just kills me especially when you know you’ve screwed up and you just have to sit there and wonder if this will be the one that makes you hose the moment.I’m going to work on this today until I either complete it or give up and then I’ll start God of War. Thank you for the recommendations and it sounds like I’ve got my answer. I considered the GTA route but my son showed me the cellphone interface on his game and it made my head hurt. I won’t carry one in real life I certainly ain’t going to in my relaxation time haha

I used YouTube and a guide I found online to get several items to help me towards my 100% goal. I have still several bookmarked as we speak since I’m not yet completely finished with the game. I might give it a 3rd go around and see how it plays with low honor Arthur, if I can stomach making him a bad guy. I really like the character now that I’ve played it twice so don’t know yet.

I’ve heard you can play low honor all the way until about halfway through chap six and still finish high honor but I wouldn’t be able to stand losing my discount at the store and stables, etc oh and plus you get crappy drops like half drank bottles of booze and stuff when you’re playing low honor.
Still….it’s awful fun while it lasts ain’t it? I loved lassoing the unexpecting people off their horses, robbing them, hogtying them, strapping them to the back of their own horse and firing my shotgun in the air to send them careening through nature that’s an incredibly satisfying side activity
