Yes, I am not good at the game

BUT WHEN I PUT A PERFECT PERFECT SWING ON A BASEBALL IN A MOONSHOT GAME IT SHOULD LEAVE THE YARD. EVERY. SINGLE. TIME.

    What am I missing?

Realism. O’Neil Cruz hit a 122mph missile last year that ended as a double. So. Yeah.

Launch angle? Power of the batter? Perfect perfect has never meant homerun every time.

Type of pitch, the location where you hit it (which part of the bat, out in front of the plate, over the plate, inside part, outside part, etc), there are many factors. A perfect/perfect is a perfect hit, not THE perfect hit. There are perfect grounders, perfect liners, perfect fly balls, etc. Just because the ball is hit perfectly doesn't mean it has the velocity to leave the yard.

Launch angle is a big one.

Even in real life a 105 MPH exit Velocity with a 19 degree launch angle is only a HR 9% of the time. It is an out 30% of the time.

106 MPH at a launch angle of 15 degrees is never a HR. 0%

I hit into a Perfect Perfect double play the other day. Made sense because I hit it right at an infielder with a single digit launch angle.

Ever watch real baseball and a ball is hit about 110 on the screws but is caught because it had some awful launch angle or the outfielder had some great jump on the ball, then Statcast comes up and says that it had a 90% chance of being a hit but wasn’t. There ya go.

I wonder what the statistics are for 100+ exit velo going right to someone where they don’t even have to take a step. Because the likelihood of that happening seems awful high in this game.

So I was playing franchise on HOF yesterday... which I never do. I hit a PP liner right at the first baseman and just instantly knew it was an out. It actually went right past him for a double in the corner. It had a very natural feel and just reminded me of the consequence that comes when every card is boosted with 125 attributes. People want boosted cards, but there are going to be some really weird results that come along with it.

At this point the game rewards you when your PCI isn't even close to the ball.. perfect perfects and good PCI amount to hardly anything. Just start moving your PCI as you swing and you will.be rewarded.. this game is so broken..
