Still no word on better NLB cards?

I don’t really think it’s too much of an ask for them to say whether or not better versions of the NLB cards are on the horizon.
That’s all I want to know. It doesn’t matter if they’re coming in July or August or January. I don’t need to know when. Just tell me: are they coming or not?

If I understood their stream correctly, we have what we have this year. We will get new cards with each new game edition over the next (?) few years. If I remember right, they said five years, but I'm not positive about that.

It is disgusting how they are treating the NL players. They had to wait YEARS to get acknowledged by MLB, YEARS to get in The Show…And now they hide them away in a mode that everyone completed in a day while we get 99’s of minor leaguers who haven’t done ANYTHING!!! This pisses me off SO MUCH!

I agree. It would be awesome to field an entire team. I just hope they include the ones we got this year with next year, so eventually, we can field a complete team.

I’m generally a fan of sds but if this is true I think it really is pretty dumb. I can see if they want people to do the moments but why not just add more moments now to upgrade these cards to a playable version. Why make such a big deal out of getting these rights and then put out cards that are not usable after the first week?

I've only completed the Paige and Robinson ones so far (I'm pacing them), but both Paige and Robinson should have much higher OVR cards than what they gave them.
The whole point is to use the captain boost with these cards. Many of them are two way players, still some of the best 99 Pitching cards in the game, and they're core cards.
You're missing the bus on this one. Almost all of them are instant 99's once you have the Buck Captain card.

I think a lot of people see "90" and think they suck. The Buck captain boost is insane, too bad the rest of the captains are pretty worthless IMO.

Isn’t accusing someone else of virtue signaling a form of virtue signaling in itself?
Kind of like, “My virtue is being against others who try to publicly display their virtues.”

You have to remember though every card this year gets at least 32 different versions of it so we still have 31 more versions to go on seven cards so they could probably even make an NLB collection collect 200 cards type of thing

They still are not very good to use, not for RS.

They should release better versions of this years group. To only make them 90 other than the last one makes them more of a novelty item.

On Xbox only “2.10% of gamers” have the NLB Historian achievement. It is the 3rd most rare out of 25. In comparison, the most common is “To The Moon” with 65% unlocking. On PlayStation only 3.8% have earned it (82% have To the Moon).
Very few people are completing this program. As for the quality of the cards, they were good for a couple of weeks with this year’s terrible content model. Any previous year and every single person playing would still have many if not all these guys in their lineup.

The person that said we are getting new cards every year and that this is it for this year is both right and wrong. We aren't getting any new players this year but I'm holding out hope that maybe we get a Negro League Program in DD... first thing you need is PXP with the 90 overall cards you get from Storylines and then give each player one moment and maybe a Showdown and/or Conquest to get the higher overall cards... I'd imagine with Jackie Robinson being in the game for quite some time now that we will see higher rated Jackie Robinson cards like last years All-Star Jackie from the All-Star Collection... SDS not releasing a Dodgers Jackie Robinson would just be weird.

Isn't a little odd that the NL link isn't included under the diamond dynasty? It's like it segregation all over again. They have all the challenges, why not put it under the programs

I completed these a couple weeks ago after I finished the affinity set, and really enjoyed listening to Bob Kendrick and learning about those I really knew very little of. It was a learning lesson for my 10 and 7 year old son. My wife kept asking, why are you calling it the NL? Because, that is what it is called, and she was able to learn also. I wish it was incorporated under the programs in DD, and hope they build off of it.
