I’m gonna add this. Surely, SDS monitors these threads. Guys, you are consistently hearing two things this year. One, the grind is too much for too little in return. Two, Showdowns are too “hard”.

C’mon, SDS. Throw us a bone and change this stuff!!

Made it as far as Robertson the second time. No way he throws 95 mph. Way harder than that.

Had a guy on 3rd with three outs to go. You know how it ended up

Yeah, I’m done with this one. Ridiculous.

Pitch speeds at time are strange this year. It will say 93 mph and it actually seems like it's over 100 mph. Like everybody is throwing as hard as Ryan.

In kaiju, the Keith Hernandez moment is impossible. The showdown is impossible as well.

Yeah, me too on that one. I think it took me longer than any of the others they released today. I think it even took me longer than the 2 XBH with Big Mac

I am surprised that I had no issues with any of the Moments, especially with how many were dropped today.

I was about to compliment SDS for making the Weekly Wonders Moments pretty straightforward.

    THEN, this weeks Griffey homer.

Five tries. Griffey making like Rod Carew in his prime. Line drives everywhere. Base hits galore. Nothing near the warning track in five tries.

Why do they program stuff that makes about 50 percent of us mad when we play it??

Same with the McGwire moment. Two extra base hits? Just one is plenty!

Man, I hate moments. With a passion.

Five tries isn’t a lot though. I don’t tend to get even a little irritated until after 10 tries.

I get what you are saying. In my opinion, if I “play baseball”, meaning that I take pitches, work counts and only swing at strikes, I SHOULD get these within 5 tries.

If not, then SDS has made these unnecessarily difficult.

Again, just my opinion. I’ve said it before here, most times, we are set up to fail moments. We are not set up for success. Whether it’s ratings that aren’t “good enough” to complete the moment or crazy sliders, to me, it’s just not necessary.

You want me to hit a homer, give me 125 ratings and have the BP pitcher throw strikes.

    There, it’s done!! 😀

Regular swing is your friend in this moment

When you look at advanced stats do most of your hitters average home run per five ar bats? I am embarrassed to say what my top home run hitter has for that stat.

The Tanner Scott 3 K one was driving me crazy. I've never seen the Rockie[censored] so well. I finally just said eff it and got points through pxp.

On my 6th attempt I struck out Blackmon no problem, ended up walking Profar (after he got 5 hits in a row), and then struck out McMahon and Grichuk on 6 pitches.

While it only took me until the 4th try....pitching 3 innings only to have 3 different Rockies player[censored] a HR with one out remaining in the 3rd inning of 3 straight games was not only infuriating but are the things that give rise to conspiracy theories.....

For the Keith Hernandez moment, I’ve tried everything. First, I am a button-pushing old dude (probably an old dude of the old dudes. Ha ha), so ‘A’, ‘B’ and ‘X’ are all I know. I will hold the left stick up on occasion.

Anyway, I’ve tried all combinations of buttons/left stick for this one. I’ve tried this one more times than I care to admit.

He’s a line drive/base hit machine. But nothing even near a homer in this moment.

Thankfully, I’m up to 96 points in the program! Two or three CPU games on Vet vs the Rockies with a team of kaiju guys and I’ll be done. 😀

I got through the NL West moments, but has anyone else realized it's easier to hit homers on the extra base hit moments than it is on the home run moments? Home run on the first swing by Ahmed, but took 10-20 on both Muncy and Cron.
