PSN Account Vs MLB The Show Account

Why is this happening? my MLB the show account was vegeekta but then it wouldn't let me login or reset password however then I tried to register and it did. I'm trying to do cross platform progress and I can't.
I don't want to unlink from my PS5 because I'm afraid I'd lose access to all my progress.
Did this happen to anyone else?
