Since Clutch only comes in to play with Runners in scoring position. I am guessing they use players averages with RISP to determine clutch rating. Could be wrong though, because it makes sense.

I think the point more or less is why has SDS again released a card for Willie Mays that is clearly not a real Willie Mays 99? He is a top 5 player if not number 1. His card should reflect that. This year, I imagine we will have a second 99 and that is why they made this one a bit watered down. Of course I thought that last year and it never came to fruition. It’s just odd. With that said, to me it’s an optics thing. I play mostly offline so it doesn’t make much difference but it’s almost like Willie cheated on SDS with EA or something.
Same can be said for Griffey and Gehrigs 99s and I’m sure there are others.

I don’t think it matters but I don’t need 99 on every category to be able to hit with players. Go figure.
