Brace Yourself

Orioles dropped their city connects. Another conquest map incoming.

Wow well if that’s the case I don’t think there’s much to brace myself with.

Reds City Connect: None more Black.
Orioles City Connect: Hold My Beer! -
I'd rather grind for a cool uniform than "grind 99" for dozens of cards I will never use just so I can prepare for a collection down the line.
By introducing 99's on day 1, DD has become grinding to prepare for collections. I might never finish TA2 or the Kaiju program, and for the first time in a few years, I couldn't care less. Plus, Mini-Seasons is still glitched and annoying. Teams never wear away jerseys, you can't fast-play, and when there are lineup restrictions (like TA2 MS) the game doesn't restrict your player pool like in Events.
I'm close to being done with this year's game...replaying Fallout 4 and having a much better time...

I miss the days where you could pretty much grind everything in ranked seasons. I remember how hard it was to unlock Griffey in 2017. The stat missions were fun and you felt like you accomplished something when you completed them. They had a Veteran Hanley Ramirez and I remember you had to like 10 walks with his lower rated card and a bunch of other missions like that to unlock just a 94. But that 94 was a beast and when you unlocked him you felt that you actually earned him. Now it’s just the same [censored]. I hardly can play the game online anymore because everything is offline.

The Griffey program was far and away the best program ever. It’s was challenging, had several unique missions and achievements, felt rewarding, had progression where you earned better versions. Apart from 1 mission SDS didn’t want to fix, it was almost perfect. And if you were a good player it wasn’t even a issue. They musta fired the guy with an actually brain. Now content resembles weekly/daily challenges from Fortnite or FarmVille.

I loved the program layout from that year except making Ranked specific missions. I never completed Griffey because it required like 4 hits including a HR one game with his 88 Ovr card. Nearly impossible without getting help from someone. People would either intentionally walk/HBP him if you got close or just quit.
Everything else content wise that year was great. I miss that years Team Affinity layout too.
Now it’s just moments, moments, moments, and showdowns (basically moments)
